Me too, but have u tried the large candles from Home Bargains/ Quality Save- (£3.99). The make is Wickford and Co. The gingerbread 1 is gorgeous, smells lovely when it’s burning and burns evenly. X win win

Yeah, when you look into making your own, it quickly becomes apparent they're making a killing. The European candles aren't even made in the main factory in the USA, they're made in czech republic. if I was going to spend silly money on candles i'd buy the imported US ones from ebay.

I also make my own using old Dowe Egbert jars and just buy a big bag of parafin wax (or soy if you want to be fancy), a colouring and scent of your choice. Could probably make these candles for arounf £10 - £15 ish.
Waste of glass...
I can vouch for the home bargains candles! Wickford and co do some brillisnt ones. I have the gingerbread ones and they smell divine and only £2.99 for a large jar...

Except no one buys it at their over inflated silly RRP price, the large ones are £15.00on eBay so the medium and small would be even cheaper. The RRP of £70+ really is hilarious.

Amazon pricing:
£19.61 + £14.99 + £14.99 + £8.99 = £58.58

This is still a deal but the RRP is not the next best price (I doubt the Amazon price is either)

No, not really. I bought this a couple of years ago and it is what I would call an unpleasant cinnamon. Pretty disappointing. I ended up putting it in a box under the bed.

I think Yankee candles are quite over rated ! Sometimes your burning them and they don’t let out much fragrance. Rather pay Yankee candles bundles prices though def than the proper shop prices !!

Lol I don’t think any part of my comment implied that I don’t know how RRP works, I said it’s hilarious because I doubt anybody buys at their ludicrous prices so therefore the RRP beggars belief for most of us.

RRP is Recommended Retail Price not ReBay Recommended Price doesn't matter if you can get it for 50p on eBay. Irrelevant.

But £73 is still really hilarious for some candles though.

And the RRP I assume is set by Yankee, so yep, an absolute joke, it seems literally nobody besides Yankee agree with their RRP hence it’s always cheaper everywhere else.

But we’re talking about candles here.
herrbz10/11/2019 21:58

...why?

Why not? I've laughed at people who buy these ever since I realised what a large slice of their disposable income they spend on them.
