Floor panel would never be included. These are metal sheds that needs to be built over a concrete or slab base
Surely a deal breaker for many, but good price otherwise.

02/09/2019 08:59Any good for bikes or not secure enough ??
Most things outside aren't safe enough for valuables. Sheds can sometimes make you a target. They aren't difficult to get in to. In my mates case, they climbed his wall and removed the shed roof. These are handy as extra storage for bulky items you don't want in a house. I'd still chain a bike to something anchored to the floor. Again, not secure but it will put off casual thieves.

I've got mine in the shed at the back of my house at the moment and it's just got a simple lock on but with it being at the back I think it's more secure. But it takes ages to get the bikes out! Would love another shed to the side so i can just do one lock but your probably right. If the sheds more visible from the front it's probably just tempting people to steal them more

If it's out back, it's hidden from prying eyes when people break in, out front people don't want to take too much time taking something because they're too visible. It depends on the target. But yeah, no one wants to make loads of noise dragging something out that's buried under lots of stuff.

We've got loads of CCTV that I bought off Amazon, plus PIR lights and a shed burglar alarm inside.
I agree that the individual elements will not prevent a burglary but the sum of them all together decreases the likelihood of all but the most determined thieves.
It's amazing just how many chancers I've caught on CCTV that had a look and saw CCTV and lights and left it.

I am soon about to put together our metal shed..so you would not advise anchoring the base down directly on paving slabs? Would it be advisable then to use some pressure treated timber as a frame and anchor that to the pavers and then anchor the shed to the timber instead?
02/09/2019 08:17THis is 1.34 metres high! (53")Can you stand up iin this???I couldn't
I keep midgets in it

The giveway is when there are no adults shown anywhere near it. The bigger one is much better value however if you are 6' or more you're going to have to bend your head to get in it and you'll be able to wipe the condensation off the roof with your hair as you walk towards the back.

No don't anchor directly to concrete or slabs, the floor needs to be wood preferably off damp ground as the moister from the ground drips off the inside of the shed, I have one with decking planks screwed to a frame of old 4x4 fence posts and the other is a one brick high frame with decking plank floor fixed to the bricks and the shed fixed to the planks if you only put light things in the shed it could be taken by a big gust of wind, mine has quite heavy stuff in it, so it wont end up in a crumpled heap in next doors garden lol, best of luck to you.

Interested in what cameras you got, and did you send clips of those chancers to the police?

Sure. I got this kit.
ANNKE CCTV Camera Systems 8CH+2CH 1080P Lite H.264+ DVR w/ 8 720P Outdoor HD-TVI Bullet Cameras, 1TB Surveillance Hard Drive, All-weather Adaptation
8 camera with motion sensors and a 1tb hard drive which I can access anywhere through an app all for less than £200.
Absolutely awesome value and on the first night I caught someone trying my car door on the drive then clock CCTV and scarper.
I report everything to police that is untowards plus I post the clips on the Next Door app which all the neghbours are on. Takes seconds with the software.

Metal sheds don't come with a floor. They should be built directly onto a strong, level base such as concrete, paving slabs or tarmac, then anchored to it using the anchor fixings provided. This base is the floor of your shed. The anchor points are pre-drilled for your ease. Using these is an integral part of the shed's stability. This base is not supplied. An anchor kit is included.
Do not place directly onto a base of grass, earth, sand etc. As natural movement will affect the stability, reduce lifespan and cause the doors to warp. 2 people are required for assembly and we strongly recommend you use thick gloves when assembling the panels.
Once built, this YardMaster shed requires zero maintenance or further treatments. Its hot dipped galvanised steel construction makes it durable and weather resistant. This means you'll never have to paint it or worry about rot or rust. It comes with a 10-year UK manufacturer's anti-rust guarantee.
