Ye Olde Oak Premium Ham £1.50 Morrisons

Found 14th Jan 2014
Reduced from £2.99 much cheaper than the own brand version. Sorry can't check prices elsewhere as using mobile app. Sounds a good deal to me though. Found in small Mansfield Woodhouse store.

Good price, but expect around 50% meat content!

EDIT: Close, its 55% yeoldeoak.co.uk/pro…40g

Think you have a typo in your description. Says reduced from £2.99 but the picture says from £1.99?

oh yes - sorry my mistake. I can't change in from the app.

OK this is reformed but it's nice as a one-off, especially with all that jelly hmmmmm..

Eh? You mean you can eat as much as you want and it doesn't count as food?

EDIT: Asda have PEK Gold chopped pork at 200g/£1 but that is 93% pork (mysupermarket.co.uk/Sho…spx?Query=pek%20gold)

But that tin has about 400 calories in it, how does that work?

Good god...this stuff is NASTY!
Well actually not sure if it's the same but bought 5 tins of this "Ye Olde Oak" but the tin shape was round.
Pork content was approximately 25% if I remember correctly, of which 20% "mechanically recovered" (nice!)
When I went to "slice" it, it was a watery mush like catfood.

Left it in fridge, covered, next day it had shriveled up to 1/3 of the size and looked like a cheesy cancerous dried out growth scar from a horror film.
This is the stuff that's £1 a tin in poundland and Tesco hard marked as half price down from £1.99...ye right, pull the other one, feel sick just thinking about it and I'll eat ANYTHING!

....Their hot dogs aren't bad mind

This is the nasty one. So this deal isn't quite as bad, still keep a sick bucket handy just in case

Is it just me or can you not get to the nutritional values of their 'food'?

if you youtube how the "meat" is mechanically reclaimed you wouldn't touch this stuff. I wouldn't feed this to my dog!

^ I suppose this would be a fairly neutral non anti-meat nor pro meat video showing how it all work
