But about a quarter of the length....

The camera work on this looked great when I saw this on my standard free-view box

The Blu-ray must look amazing, shame I have not got a player yet.......

amazing

great find. one of the best nature docs for a while. the extra bits at the end were just as interesting too - such as the guy who spends his life clearing snow off rooftops, it was amazing.

ahhh I missed this on the BBC

It's extremely good, I watched the original broadcasts albeit in standard def. Don't think you'll regret it

The South Pacific series is also visually impressive: amazon.co.uk/Sou…8-4
It scores a 9/10 on imdb and runs for six episodes as oppose to the three of Yellowstone.

Many thanks for that, have some rep

Thanks - been on the lookout for this. I will add some heat.

The winter episode is the best wildlife doc I have ever seen, stunning.

Most people, including me, visit Yellowstone in the Summer. It really is an amazing place; but to see it in the different seasons, especially winter, on this documentary is somthing very few people have ever seen and was very worthwhile. The 'Yellowstone people' parts are really good too, just 10 mintes at the end of each episode, I hope these are on the DVD.

Damn you! I had to buy it at that price. I think I've got most of the BBC Natural History stuff on Blu Ray now. Can't wait for the Blue Planet to be released..

Having been lucky enough to go to Yellowstone 4 times I was disappointed with the film. I would have liked to see more of the amazing thermal features. Do agree that it is the greatest place on earth.

Artists Point looking to the Lower Falls is my favourite. Was not too impressed with Old Faithful.

^^

Scenery and camera work superb, but how boring is that commentary. Spoilt what was otherwise a great series for me. Didn't know it was possible to speak without changing tone. Please Beeb, ditch him ( and whoever signed him up )
Looked stunning on my sony crt so it must be amazing on blu ray.

Nice clip from this documentary here ]http//ww…a3c

Want to buy this and the South Pacific one for my brother's Birthday, he lives in France and plays BR's through a PS3, this will run fine over there to my knowledge, is that correct?
