Last time I checked they were the best in class and image stabilisation was better than gopro counterpart, I'm really considering this...

I've had a Yi 4K for a while, I bought it as I was after a camera with replaceable battery and the much better batterylife over the GoPro 5 as well as the cheaper price made it worth a go. I've been pleased with it as the touchscreen interface is easy to use and has a sensible layout, image quality is good, additional batteries are reasonable at £20 a go and it's been reliable.

The main downside is the waterproof case is bulky and you need that obviously to protect it but also if you want the GoPro mount which is an annoyance as it makes it much bigger and it's a bit fiddly. It's not been much of an issue for me as I use it mounted on a mechanical gimbal and since the gimbal isn't sealed either, the loss of waterproofing for the camera isn't an issue. The mic seems quite sensitive to wind noise which is quite noticeable when using it for cycling although in general, I don't find action camera's mics to be much use when riding at speed.

This is a crazy price for it, I think I got mine for £180 and felt that was a good price. There is the 4k plus which offers 4k60 and voice commands but unless it was only slightly more expensive (the £250 price for the plus with gimbal was a ridiculous bargain), I think the 4K is a decent buy.
