Available on Amazon (Including Prime). The usual Amazon price is £265 and you also get a free floating detachable grip plus discount offers on four other item bundles. Sold by the official Amazon Yi Technology store.

This is the Yi 4K+, currently the top of the range Yi action camera. Excellent reviews and offers a genuine 60fps 4K recording capability. The 4K+ also has a USB C port for charging and if you need it the connection of an external mic., the only model in the range to offer this. Like the standard 4K model you can also record RAW (DNG) stills.

Similar offers happen fairly frequently but you need to keep an eye out for them. I only noticed this one by chance this morning and have been waiting for it for several weeks!

Only lasts a few hours!

I forgot to mention a similar offer is running in parallel for the 4K+ without the underwater case.
These generally get very good reviews, and at this price (which they regularly are....the offers seem to happen a lot), seem like decent value.

Yeah, you need eyes like a hawk I checked last night, nothing but this morning there it was with only three hours remaining. It's just about finished as I write this!
I’d be concerned about receiving a cheap Chinese knock off or is it direct from amazon themselves?
better off spending £200 on a go pro.

There are action cams as you describe, but Yi Technology models are not of these - the company is an established brand and their action cameras are quite distinct from the run of the mill cheapies and they have earned a good reputation. They also make powered gimbals, 360VR cameras and Micro Four Thirds mirrorless system cameras and lenses, among other things. They are a serious competitor to GoPro. There are differences; Yi action cams are not natively water resistant, but in other ways the Yi models are a good match for less dosh or even more advanced in certain specifications.

Well the offer ended earlier as expected but there is now a £64-off code. That makes it a couple of quid more expensive than the original deal.

I do sometimes wonder how the rules on 'sales' apply to online deals like this!

Nope, the Mi isn't a "cheap Chinese knock off". Far from it, it's a Go Pro killer.
I didn’t say the mi was rather than actually receiving a Knick off version as I’d the state of amazon and eBay these days, both flooded with fakes from China.
Dammit. Missed out on this - what is the benefit of ordering from Amazon and not Geekbuying?

Although the flash sale deal only lasted a few hours it appears that a £64-off voucher has replaced it so the final price - unless I'm wrong - is £201.99, only £2 more than the flash sale price yesterday and they're still giving away the floating hand grip. The Geekbuying deal is £208 from Italy (so no customs charges) so not a bad price but no free grip and security when buying from Amazon (and the official Yi Amazon shop) would make me more confident. If you have prime it's a next day free delivery. I should add I have absolutely no connection to Amazon or Yi Technology!

Fair enough, but apart from possible inconvenience if you do get a fake, Amazon (in my personal experience) protects buyers very effectively and as long as you follow the procedures for disputes you will get your money back. I've had a couple of disputes with Amazon sellers and they all backed down after I threatened to open a dispute case with Amazon. One didn't respond and Amazon refunded me anyway. eBay has also improved a lot in recent years (also PayPal). I also had a good experience with Gearbest when an activity tracker band I bought had a relatively minor fault (notifications were showing up in Chinese rather than English) and I was given a full credit. I'm sure others will have less positive stories but so far so good for me.

As for Yi and this deal - as said before, the brand is solid and this deal is from the official Yi Technology Amazon store, so no problems.

It comes with a free handle grip?

It's called a Floating Handlebar. Mine arrived yesterday with the camera I ordered - it's a plastic hand grip finished in foam and it will float with the camera attached if you accidentally let go of it in the water. Can't say it's worth the £16.99 you're supposed to be saving but I guess it's better than nothing!
What card are you using for this?

I heard that Samsung Evo Plus cards (which are cheap as chips) work well for 4k footage - I have one coming and will report back.

I got the offer (sans waterproof case), with the stick, a battery replacement and leather protective case, lens cover, for £204 from Amazon (prime).

I already have a Yi Lite and the standard 4K and I use 64GB Samsung Evo Plus cards. I haven't yet used my new 4K+ but the Evo Plus cards work well with the other cameras.
