Thanks to alphamike for the code

Thought this was half decent! Sony sensor in this one, and the price clearly reflects that, but considering the tech you are getting in this; I think it's very reasonable.

what about this one ?

I was so close to buying this, especially for that price. It’s a shame the audio really lets it down.

Great find, and a really good deal.

If you're not going to shoot 50FPS, then this can be considered at least as good as a GoPro. I've had a GP5 and have the 6 and can honestly say that they're not the best value for money and they both suffer issues with exposure. Although the 6 has a very good stabiliser.

Check out some YT footage of this Yi it really is a great piece of kit, and at this price nothing touches it for picture quality at 25FPS.

As for audio. Not sure if there's a USB audio cable for this particular Yi. But the GoPros 5 and 6 aren't particularly good for audio either unless you pay the extra £50 for the audio adaptor, and even then there's a bunch of issues with how the 5 and 6 deal with audio.

Again, great find

This brand has not got much customer support. I got some Yi CCTV at home for 9 months now, it stopped working after installed their latest update. I searched online and lots of people having the same problem. This problem persists for more then 1 month now and still no workable updates to fix it. Everything is half baked and not working properly.

Hmmmm, missed out on the gopro 5 for 210 the other day and it feels like its time to upgrade the old SJ4000...

When I clicked it is Sale:£229.49

I only partially agree with you. I have had a Yi Ants and as with many other Xiaomi products it is restricted to China support only. You should have been aware of this limitation when buying the camera.
I appreciate it is very frustrating but it is not quite the same as being a "half baked" product. In fact the majority of Xiaomi engineering and quality is amazing and not just as cut-price Chinese import, but as best in class product. If anything, it is the software that lets them down.

I am Chinese myself, therefore i can read and write Chinese. I have been searching for solutions to fix my Yi cams in lots of Chinese web sites, found that many many Chinese people are having the same problem as me. Do not think they have better support in China, they simply do not care that much by reading what people encounter in China.

I also have a few Xiaomi products, like dash cam, mi bands and power bank. So far, the dash cam is working fine after 6 months, mi bands are a bit unstable, sometimes does not sync for a week and suddenly will come back normal.

They will have to improve their after sales service both in China or Overseas and also make their software works.
