Cracking price for this Dash-cam. Has everything you would expect from a dash-cam these days.

1080p 30fps recording, Loop Video, Emergency Video, Built-in Mic and speakers, Cigarette lighter power supply included in box.

Be aware that the menu/settings adjustments on these as well as the app are ONLY AVAILABLE IN CHINESE.

You could possibly figure things out through trial and error, or get a Chinese friend to explain it you, but just be aware of this.

Apparently there is an unofficial custom firmware hack to get some of it in English but I couldn't get it working.

Also see the comments section below for examples of how bad the actual video footage can be.

$29.55 for me
Is it any good though?

A translation of many of the reviews on the site say the language is in Chinese only.

Will show you $29.55,but if you go through checkout automatically price you $49.99

Nope thnx

excellent!! cheers!!

Tempted but this has the whiff of the TomTop deal about it. Think I'll pass.

Iffy return policy and long delivery times - Beware

Only 30fps on this one. My Yi will do 60fps and the recording really benefits from it.

Go for a 60fps model IMO.

64GB sd card support

Video quality on these is absolutely appalling. Really grainy and fuzzy. In a hit and run, I wouldn't fancy my chances of being able to read the other car's number plate.

COLD.

Yes something that could be so invaluable when something nasty happens need to be reliable and usable. Plus that fact you've highlighted that it's all in Chinese is a real pain, I know that ultimately we'll all need to speak the language when our Chinese overlords rule but for the time being I'm not learning it.

You only seem to get a clear number plate in perfectly lit conditions and when you're about 2m away from the car in front and about to rear end shunt them! Pointing into the sun and it doesn't get the exposure right. Night time is problematic as well and there's also motion blur when you go round corners. You can forget about reading number plates which is a bit of major omission....

Honestly, I don't have a dashcam for hit and run, I only have it for a 'he said, she said' insurance situation where reading the numberplate isn't relevant.

I bought this for my dad for exactly this reason (although I stumped up £32 from a different seller for the improved version).

Whats the link to the one you bought?

Guide to suitable SD cards for these (dash cams wear out SD cards much faster than normal).
