One of the lowest, if not THE lowest this model has been. It's 1080p at 30fps but at this price point that seems fair. Has a 2.7" LCD on the rear and connects via WI-fi.

Had mine for nearly a year now you will need a uhs sd card but it's really good

these things last about 4 months .

Almost 2 years for mine. Used daily! Absolutely no problem at all! Never left the car so it was in the car when we had the sun or heat ( veeeery rarely in UK ). Payed £31.49 then. Just brilliant!

A few clips here for image quality

School Dodgem car drop off

VW off roading

and my all time favourite " You tried to run me over"

Crazy Upton-Upon-Severn Man (although my windscreen was quite dirty on this one)

all taken on this cam, the playback is excellent so long as you understand how to download it through the app.

Totally recommend, I paid £37 for it two yeas ago which was a great deal at the time

You can buy cheaper non branded dash cams but will they work when you need them

Amazing bit of kit. Had mine for over a year. Like how you can set the screen to show the clock after a minute or so as I stops me looking at what the cam is showing (can’t help but look oddly enough)
I've got yi home cams and they are great. The night images are excellent
Your better off trying to find the 165° version as it's better quality and does 1296p IIRC. This is still a good price.
I have one, good unit.... Software on my phone won't stay connected lately .... Not the end of the world if you need the footage you can remove the SD card
How do you mount this on your dashboard? I presume you'll need some sort of stand?
Great little camera, only issue I have had is it's slow to connect to it with your phone and download videos.
Ordered thanks

Some kind of window suction, I got mine of 1 of the Chinese websites for a couple of pound, may have been Ali Express.

that one also does 60fps as compared to 30fps on this one... smoother video.
Anyone know if you can get a dashcam that’s always on record 24/7?

Youd struggle as the dash cam runs off a fuse so it would probably end up draining the battery I'd imagine

Whoops I seem to have linked to the model I bought. I didn't realise there was a lower spec lens

Had mine for 18 months. Still works great. No issues. If and when it dies I'll buy the same one again.

Micro SD
Got one about a year ago, too, and it works well.

Tip for everyone: call your insurance after you get one and see if they will give you a discount on your insurance for having a dashcam. Mine gave me £10 back on my insurance, meaning I got the camera for about £14 net last year.

I have the ultra model that has been perfect since I got it at the end of last year. Is there much difference between that model and this one?

I had the same issue and it was an app update that caused it. They seem to have fixed it with the latest update so make sure you have it and hopefully it'll stay connected again.

Find a good quality power bank and run it off that when the car is switched off :-)

Few bad reviews ...but for that price. Worth a try. Thanks!!
I bought the 170° 60fps version ages ago . And TBH I'm not impressed with the quality . Every clip . No matter the setting has "noise" in the image even on bright clear sunny days . I was expecting much much better from Yi (I have had no issues with their products in the past . They seem very good quality on the whole) All I can say is that it must have been a faulty unit . Unfortunately I had it a while before using it and missed the return window . It sits in a drawer now unloved . Just my personal 2p worth . YMMV
