I'd rather pay extra 3 quid for the silver version as it's better frames rate and wider angle lens.

Anyone used one of these? Can you advise on footage quality? TIA

I have the silver one and it is great. Clear picture and great app. You can connect wirelessly to it via your Android or iPhone, and download clips direct to your phone without having to take the SD card out.
Can’t comment on this one but I’ve got the silver one and it’s fantastic!
Promotion not working for me on grey, only black.
promotion works in black - good deal!
I have the grey version and think it's amazing , personally I'd recommend waiting for the grey one to drop as if regularly does and only cost a couple £ more
I have the grey version - as others have mentioned above the quality is brilliant.

They updated the iPhone app last week and I've not been able to connect to the WiFi since, so the only way for me to access footage at the moment is to take out the SD card and plug into my laptop.

Also, the camera itself is quite bulky and stands out a mile off so I wished I'd shopped around a bit more and gone for something a bit smaller or less conspicuous. I did manage to make it slightly less noticeable by cutting out a piece of matt black sticky paper and covering the front to mask the silver.
How long does the battery last if recording. Im assuming that if plugged in to power then it will record as per the capacity of an SD card. Is it easy to get a wire from the rear view mirror to you power port?

Having a noticeable camera in your car might be a good thing though in my opinion.

I know its a bit of a pain but couldn't you just remove the camera and put it in the glove box or something?

App now working again on IOS - try updating again.
Does this take time lapse photographs (e.g. photo every 3 seconds) or just video?

Possibly but does seem like a bit of faff - one of the things I like about it is the fact that it turns on and off with the car without having to worry about it. Had another look and the main thing that stands out is actually the suction mount...if only there's a way to make that more discrete.

Thanks - there was no update available when I checked, but I just deleted the app and installed again from the App Store and seems to be working again.
Why don't they do a version with a built in GPS for on screen location recording?
Grabbed the Silver/Grey one...Thanks

I’m still a bit confused about the difference between black and grey. Is it just 60fps? If so for the extra cash is it really worth that? Or is there more to it?

Another question, does it need to be high on the windscreen and therefore with a cable needing to be run around the screen or can you mount it lower like on the dash just behind a sat nav for example?

The black one only has a 130° angle lens, while the silver one is 165°.

As for the positioning, I have mine behind my rear-view mirror. Really can't comment on having it as low as the dashboard, though.

Thanks. So can you tell me where the cable runs if it’s up so high on the windscreen.
Should be able to tuck the wire behind the headliner, just be careful as it can be brittle in older cars.

quick google throws up this simply gudie

Are there any dash cams small enough to not be in your sight at all? Possibly right behind the mirror? I just don't want to see the camera at all and I want it to automatically turn on and record and replace the last 24 hours of footage any time i turn the car on without me pressing a single button. Does anything like that exist or am I asking for too much?

The 60fps will give you more chance of capturing a number plate if someone goes whizzing past you, also a wider field of vision as someone else mention.

It's a lot neater and can be hidden at the top of the windscreen under the black dots around your mirror if your car has them.
I bought it for £26 on a deal listed on here a few weeks ago.

Yep that code for the grey one has now expired. It was active for a couple of days earlier this week when I got mine. It'll be repeated soon no doubt as this site has it posted numerous times.
these are GREAT!! I drive for a living I had a crappy dashcam but when some scrote stole my phone from the van it recorded it and he got convicted! So I invested it this and the quality is awesome! I run at 60fps 1080p and it is crystal clear. I recommend investing in this though amazon.co.uk/San…rds
Does it record continually??? Or do you have to erase and format once full???

Why and what would you do with the footage if you caught someone whizzing past you?
