£20 promotional discount applied at checkout after redeeming promotion to collect voucher. Been list previously on HUKD (search Yi Dome Camera) and many have recommended the camera.

The promotion may only be for today??

I caved and got the 720p one for £30 a few days ago. It's actually really impressive!

The motion tracking works brilliantly as do the alerts. Add an SD card in there and you've got full recorded clips without paying a subscription.

Now do I return the 720p and get the 1080p for £10 more...
I did it. I've purchased the 1080p one and will be sending the 720p one back
How do these compare to a £20 Cleverdog ? (Apart from Pan and Tilt which mine don't have)

I've got 6 Cleverdogs in 2 locations going to add another couple of cameras shortly.....

This is always being advertised on here, I have 2 and best camera, they follow you motion tracks, fir that kind of money ita a no brainer...
Thanks OP - I bought it then cancelled as, after a little research, it appears this doesn't support ONVIF or RTSP (at least not without some sort of firmware hack). I would be adding it to my Blue Iris setup, therefore, I don't believe this would work. Happy to be corrected if someone can advise. I did like the look of the motion tracking feature and the wide angle lens.
Hows this compare to the YI Home Camera? Currently available for £33.99 (original price is £99) after promos added.

This one has pan and tilt. Camera can be rotated by the app - left/right/up and down. When activated the camera will also follow the motion.

I doubt the Yi Home has ever sold for £99 - it was just £29.99 last week. Looks lie the promotions for both cameras are now a little less attractive.

Not great. I'm just playing about with it now with both android and PC apps. It works for the purposes of repositioning the camera but no good if, for example, you wanted to track a puppy running round the room. It's quite jerky/unresponsive and image blurs as it moves. Still think they're really great cameras for the price though.
can it send you alerts for noises other than a baby crying? for example if my house alarm went off?
Do these ones spy on you - send traffic to random Chinese servers?

I’d like to know the same thing
It's a shame you cannot store footage locally instead of in the cloud.

Can I ask. Could this be powered by one of the usb battery packs you can use to charge phones? I'd get this if it could be used away from a mains supply. Thanks.

if i get one i'll let you know, but im gonna say no as it does seem quite restricting using this with other apps or products to get it to connect.
I might be being an idiot here but has anyone worked out a way to save a video clip from the SD card to your PC? I can save the 6 second alert and although I can watch the rest of the clip that was saved to the SD card, I can't see a way to save it. Any help greatly appreciated!

My mistake!
Hi guys. Some advice. I wanted to set three of these up (2 in porch looking left and right and one in kitchen looking out the window) to act as a security camera. I am assuming these record for free online. Shall I go for this or some Swann wired cameras with dedicated recorder? I know the best deterrent is a visible alarm (have one) and nothing will deter the professional theif but would this be suitable for when I go out?
So the lightning deal is £39.99 - hardly a lightning deal at all.

Dammit - I held off ordering it last night thinking it would be cheaper at 6pm lol. Oh well, I'll hold out until they have another promo. //Adds keyword alert
Ps. Is it just me who adopts a Geordie accent when I spell the name of the manufacturer?
