If you want to use it through the window at night with the infra red switched off CHOOSE BLACK. No reflection. You won't get a better cam' on the market for this price. Heat added.
I've had this for a week now, I bought it at this price when I saw the deal for the 19.99 one and they had the same promotion on this model. It works really well. You install the app, tell it your WiFi pass code and it creates a QR code to show to the camera, it then connects to your WiFi and you can then see it in the app. I wasn't sure I'd keep it because of the dependence upon their servers being available for it to work rather than direct connection. I have however truly been impressed, so much so I've subscribed to the cloud storage service for a year.

If you set the motion detection on and choose to receive immediate notifications (there's a sliding scale) then it can get a bit annoying if you've got a pet walking around. Pan and tilt is very responsive but you can tell it was designed to be ceiling mounted (comes with a bracket) as if you stand it on a surface it doesn't tilt downwards which is a pain in the bum. As someone mentioned if you have it pointed out of a window expect to see nothing but the IR reflection, it would work well with a PIR security light or just leave an outside light on.

I'll be keeping the camera, I just suspect I'll be looking at a way to root it and get at it directly some day. As for the Chinese seeing and hearing inside my home (yes it does 2 way audio too) then so be it, I've already got a Chinese robot vacuum and maybe they will both turn on me one day. So far so good.

Or at least that i could tell you But genuinely you dont know who has access to your details ect or what they could be used for.. its just like when you upload pictures ect on to websites or accept T&C for android apps. The servers could be based anywhere and your details used by anyone just as the camera and mic if it has one on this be accessed by the provider.

I pity the poor Chinese man tasked with watching my front garden

Thats the 720p version
Not sure what this camera is like, I've got the amcrest Pro HD and it works great but it's a little more expensive around £80ish

On the fence with this, is it any good?.
Would be good if they were outdoor.
Got an old Logitech WiLife system that could do with replacing, the commander software is really good but a ball ache to leave a pc running all day and Windows decides to auto update on the day you get robbed.
Hi HUKDers , I’m looking for a 2 or 3 camera cctv system for the house, one that is pretty decent, can watch on the iPhone etc, and not too expensive. I want to buy the complete package and then get someone to fit it. Anyone have any good ideas ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They do outdoor ones but are £79.99 I’m waiting for a deal on them but on the fence to buy one of these to see how good the are and have it looking out the window.
Is this weatherproof / waterproof?
Im interested in one of these, but the thing that worries me is who actually has access to the camera/images once you activate and accept the software and T&C. I see the head office is in china!
Does anyone know whether you can set detection zones i.e. you can select the areas the camera can see but don't want to detect movement in?

Yes you can
Great camera, I have one YI home 1080p and this one. Works brilliant

I believe it's indoor, it's not waterproof.
I've recently bought treo of these at the same price as this, and they're excellent value. The quality is very good, setup is very easy, the night vision, movement detection and pan / tilt & zoom functions work really well.
....although contrary to what was stated above, I'm not aware that you can select specific areas to detect motion. As far as I know, it reacts to whatever is in picture?
Might be a silly question but anyway I can link this to a hikvision nvr anyway ?
I've been using this for a while and my experience with it has been great so far. I really do recommend this camera. I bought this around last year November. My best experience was using it abroad while I was on a conference. Overall 9/10.
Ordered a black one. The voucher says it expires today.
Giving it a go. Heat added.

Does anyone know if this works with 5ghz WiFi? I know it says not supported in the specs but sometimes they do actually work...

No, you can store footage to the SD card, but Web storage is extra. €20 a year for one camera. €60 a year for up to five cameras.

No it only comes with a free trial for 1 month.

I presume he was abroad and the camera was in his house..
Will give that a go with my synology surveillance station
Do not trust all the reviews on Amazon. It appears that many of the review are not genuine, probably by the 'testers'?
I am interested in the feedback from HUKD members who bought this camera.

Do you know if this works with synology surveillance? Thanks...
Sounds good but need outdoor cameras. Heat regardless
I've got the white version of this. Tracking works well, quality is ok, nothing special at all and alerts are very good.

I've got it set up in my office. There aren't many false alerts from this.

Don't put it where it can see a TV or it goes absolutely nuts when the TV is on...

Definitely worth it at this price (think I paid this for it as well)
