How from me although was no good for myself as not ONVIF standard so would not work with my NVR.
Has anyone used the cloud storage? I'm hoping to use this outside my front door under cover. Any info would be most helpful

camera records 6 sec clips and these are free of charge to keep, but don't know for how long. if you want to use cloud for longer videos, subscription charge applies - 20EUR per year.
sorry, my bad - unlimited storage 60eur PA.
I brought this the last time it was on offer.

The online storage is a loop storage (which overwrites after a set period, depending on the package you choose).
Cost depends on how long the loop is and how many devices you add.

Hi PavB,
Thanks for sharing that screen shot. Can you tell what the price is if the option at the bottom was changed to 5 devices and what the 24/7 recording price is?

Hi, no probs: both are €60/yr (on a 7 day loop)

For completeness, here are the yearly costs:

7day loop (1device=€20 | 5devices=€60 | 24/7 =€60)
15day loop (1device=€30 | 5devices=€90 | 24/7 =€90)
30day loop (1device=€50 | 5devices=€140 | 24/7 =€180)

If you want 24/7 cloud recording then its about £50 a year per camera so that would cost you £250 a year,
The other cloud option is for it to save a 6-10 second clip for x number of days. This varies from £20 to £50 a year for up to 4 (maybe 5) cameras but every action triggers a reset which means you might catch someone walking to your door but not the video of him kicking it in or nicking your amazon parcel.

Using an SD card will give you 24/7 coverage in addition to this but if they nick the camera then your SD card has gone and you are back to 10 seconds of footage on your phone.

The setup is easy and the system works well BUT until someone creates a app or a hack to enable you to record directly to a network drive or cloud it falls short of being brilliant.

I think they are missing a trick as if they offered this at much lower cost in annual payment but let you record to your own cloud they would own this market.

I have one of these and one of the £20 fixed cams but wont buy any more until its a bit more open source.
I dont think that pricing on PAVS post includes 24/7 cloud.

If you want to record 24/7 to cloud then this costs 60 euro or £50 FOR EACH CAMERA.

The prices above are 24/7 but only for a short clip.
Bought this the other time during the same promo, great camera quality especially night recording without IR lights. Blew my old DLINK away like the beast from the east Highly recommend this camera.

I don't use the cloud recording but the built in micro sd card recording is quite good too and easy to use.
Can't see it for 39.99 now?
Expired already?
expired back to 52.99 now.
Perfect! Now you can watch masked thieves raid you home from the comfort of your phone.
Lightning deal... I'm too slow.
Using mine in combination with a WiFi plug, which allows me to activate-deactivate using Alexa

To watch what is recorded from the sd card do you need to remove it and play in a pc or are you able to view it from your phone via the app?

I watched it via the app. Its time coded so you could go back to the specific time or date. I've not tried taking the microsd card our. Maybe will try that
One left of these if you don't need HD or cloud. £23.99 / Prime. Not great reviews though, takes yer chances.

That's great. Thank you for the answer. I have subscribed to the cloud account as I wasn't sure how accessible it was with an sd card fearing that you have to put the sd card into another device to view it and not in fact just using the app. Think I will sack the cloud sub.
Had one for 2 days last week but sent it back as I was unable to connect to the camera over mobile data, worked fine on WiFi.
How are people getting on with these? Bought 2 of these and the motion detection on both worked fine but now after 5 days one of them isn't detecting hardly anything. The other one detects trees moving in the breeze yet the one that isn't working properly won't even detect a car driving past.
So i received mine the other day from the last deal and it's a good bit of kit. The app works well and connection over mobile data is not a problem for mine. I've ordered a 128gb SD for it because I'm too tight to pay for a cloud service lol.

Because they're essentially USB powered units, how are people getting on with plumbing these in? Could a competent sparky link these up to a permanent source? Or are they only meant to be used with USB extension leads to a socket?

Thanks

Dave

This is 720 not 1080 plus inferior brand. The yi cam will capture the seconds before movement whilst the sricam starts after movement. Big difference

Same here, started recording movement in my drive, but now is only activated by cars driving 35 ft away in the road. So I’ll only get the burglar if they drive and park the car outside my drive

I have a 64gb card in mine and it recognises it fully.
Not sure if anyone will still see this, but for those that have the camera, how are the playback functions?

When I look through the clips that are uploaded to the Cloud, there doesn't seem to be a pause or fast forward button. Is there any way to speed up the video while watching or to pause it?

I haven't subscribed to the cloud yet, however reviewing footage via the app works seamlessly
