This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I bought the 1080p version a few days ago at this price so might be worth holding off for the black friday sales in case it drops again.

I've set up the hack for my Yi camera which after a £5 donation gives me a live RTSP stream for life:
github.com/The…-v4

Using a Raspberry Pi with Hass.io & MotionEye I think it's possible to take that RTSP and record it to either the cloud or a physical drive. Ordered a cheap Pi 3 A+ from Amazon for £16.63 so will be having a bit of fun
I admit it takes a bit of tinkering to set up so won't be for everyone, but if you're decent with computing it's a fee-free camera recording option.

720p in this day and age....no no no
I got one 2 or 3 weeks back when it was roughly the same price. Good little camera for the money given 2 way audio, pan and tilt but if I'd held off a week I think the 1080p was down to around the same low price.
As I say this one isn't too bad but it is a 1 mega pixel camera so anyone wanting crystal clear pics may want to look at higher spec.

Android app gives no notifications for some reason until you open it each day then you get a whole list. Maybe I need to change settings but I find I can see there's an alert hours after it has occurred.

Thanks OP. Heat added. Is the purpose of the hack just to show free backup recording? Is there a guide anywhere on how to do it?
U get free backup recording on their other cameras by inserting an sd card, also free live streaming should have thought this was the same. Yes they have a paid for cloud service but you don't need it

You're welcome, just don't be in too much of a rush to buy with black friday coming soon

The hack gives you more control over the camera that Yi don't want you to have. It itself isn't designed to enable free recording, but using the RTSP stream you can capture the footage using a Pi or typical DVR/NVR device. If that fails making the Pi an FTP server, or using the hacked MQTT option could work.

The guide to setting up the hack is a little awkward to be honest. I'm pretty decent with computers but still had to ask for help on the Discord group. Once you learn how to set up 1 camera it's easy to do more so if you struggle drop me a message.
Once you get the RTSP stream running, it's up to you to decide how you want to backup your recordings. Paying for a monthly service would be the easiest option, but where's the fun in that! There are guides how to set up Hass.io and MotionEye on a Pi, and from there follow a guide to set up a camera.

This is true I have an SD card in mine as well. I should clarify I was looking to be able to store any recorded footage outside of the camera device itself, in case an intruder spotted the camera and took the SD card I'd have a secure backup.
Also I wanted to be able to view the stream on more than just the official app, which is what the £5 RTSP stream allows opening many more possibilities of (potentially free) recording options.

Personally the notifications work fine for me, but I have read about the issue for other users.Try changing your phone notification & permission settings, let it run in the background, then on the app itself set the notification frequency to high.
last week there was a 1080p version for the same price.. I would recomend to wait till it comes back (and knowing YI it won't be long)
@DownUGo your use of these and what to with them is greatly appreciated.

I had already given this heat, but your contribution deserves more!

Thank you!
Use these to look in on the kids at night. Picture isn't great but enough for what it is. Heat
