Have you tried resetting it?

How can I reset my camera?
If your camera is the 1st generation,
Use a thin needle or pin to reset the camera. The reset button is located on the upper left side of the QR code on the back side of the camera. Please hold down on the reset button until the yellow light turns on. The reset is successful when the yellow light is on or you hear the voice “Reset is successful”. If your camera is the 2nd generation,
You need to remove the back cover of your camera and then you will see the white round reset button. Use a pin to push it until the yellow light is on and you hear “Reset is successful”.

I gave one to a friend all he did was deleted old camera/set up in the app, scanned the camera with his phone & presto. He’s so happy with the camera as the one he had cost a little fortune & it kept dropping off. Good Luck

Heat Added
Hi,have tried resetting, and after scanning QR code it's says this cameras is already registered.ive gone into the care home app help& feedback section when I try to contact them it's in Chinese maybe Japanese writing?

What's the security like on these, keep reading having ip cameras can have security flaws.

What size roughly is the base of the camera? Just thinking of where it can be mounted

As per UK PC Mag:
The Yi Dome Camera can be mounted on a ceiling, a wall, or be placed on any flat surface. The pear-shaped black enclosure stands 4.3 inches high and measures 3.6 inches in diameter at the base and 2.5 inches in diameter at the top.

One of mine went funny (The picture just looked like static, QR code just came up grey on phone). Unplugged it for a day and it went back to normal.
I just wish the Android app had the multiview like the pc version as I monitor them on a tablet on my desk.

The pin reset someone mentioned. They aren’t permanently registered to a single person and don’t need activation. Just need a reset and pairing with your account.
Are these just in door

I have used indoor cameras under the eaves of the roof (hence shielded from rain) for years without issue.

I also use them inside windows, turning ir off, they work extremely well that way if you have street light.

Yi domes (I have two 1080p) are superb. Stable app (which can't be said for many other brands including Xiaomi) and high quality video, for peanuts in the scheme of things.

App only.

They're slow moving and mine needed resetting every other day too, I sent it back.

My first one, a different model, completely died, there was no reviving it. My second one, model in thread, has stopped recognising micro sd cards despite me knowing the cards are functional, and they did used to work with the camera before.
Got one works when it wants.
