I bought one of these on a previous deal...they've been cheaper than this in the past for this price it's still very good value.

I dunno about security of the software but frankly if anyone is able to hack in and watch my feed then they'd get pretty bored pretty quickly!

i have found a surprising number of uses including shouting at my beloved wife (from my bed) for a cup of tea through the two way microphone!

I Have the 720p and it's more than good enough to show a clear face shot of anyone approaching the front door. If you think 1080p is required for every single scenario you might want to rethink who is gullible

Gives the Chinese government something to laugh at.
Doesn't this ship the data off to large server farms in China before allowing you to see the feed afterwards? So if Server farm fails, cam is useless.

I remember when people cared about their privacy, now it seem no one does?
Already have on e of these and it's excellent. Bought another to cover the other side of the house. Thanks.

Depends if you set it up for a cloud service or just use the micro sd slot, or just pay more for another multi cam system with it's own dvr. I went with a swan 8 channel dvr that came with 4 cams and added 4 more when budget allowed, also from amazon. Oh and for those that wonder about POE, google POE injector or check fleabay for them.

I think they’re pretty unhackable as people wanted to use them with third party software or FTP and can’t so I imagine it’s safe (unless you don’t trust Xiaomi).

The company is Chinese but believe the data centres for these are in Europe. Anything you use for cloud security/monitoring has to send the data somewhere, this isn’t a new complaint. Let’s not forget these are cheap, well made and very easy to setup; not everyone wants true CCTV with on-site storage and all the pitfalls and cost that goes with it.

The thing to be concerned about isn’t so much people viewing your feed but rather you having a device on your network which could be under the control of third parties, potentially in an unfriendly country.

The camera itself can be a back door to your entire network, a place from which to launch attacks on your WiFi/lan connected devices or on third parties using your internet connection.
I have 2 similar cameras. Both are very good. I am sure this will be excellent. Mount them in a window bay front and back of house so that anyone nosying around will see they are on camera.
So what is the code for the discount ?

i see it isn’t a code just a touch onscreen , still dearer than advised £34.99 with discount applied

Well for me just having cameras on the house is good enough for me. I have been very impressed with the 2 cameras I bought last week except I mostly get pictures of birds!I read that 90% of burglars would go elsewhere if they saw CCTV. Not sure if it its true but I am sure its a deterent
I got somit similar on ebay for £16 and with night vision, brill job
Don't have a time machine but gonna hold out until they drop their price to £25-£26. They seem to do these voucher discounts very often.
I bought one last time it was on offer and would happily buy another one, if only it worked with tinyCam so I can view all my cameras in the same app. This only works in its own YI home app unfortunately. Until someone manages to hack it and provides rtsp support ( which I believe is the reason it doesn't work with tinyCam), it means checking 2 apps to see all cameras around the house
Thanks OP. at last I got one today evening :). I setup and everything working fine. Alert function is so good. sensitivity is so good. it identified people moving so far from my window and got notifications. I agree with few friends the pic quality is very good and enough for monitoring etc.
Expired?
Finding this spooky.. Got this camera yesterday and it captures video when a bird flies by... Unusually it does not detect human motion.. Been in and out of the house multiple times and it did not detect me...
Anyone know what's going on with the clocks on these?
My Missus asked me to check some visitors that turned up at 12:26. I've just watched from 12:15 until 12:45 and no sign, which implies that the clock is out.

Any ideas?

Just checked all of mine and the clock is fine on mine.
If you had visitors turn up, there would be a red notification dot on the "Alerts" button at the bottom of the app.
