You need to click on the 'promotional deal' link underneath the advertised price and price will be adjusted from £59.99 to £31.99 at checkout.

I don't know if these are any good but I've been interested since spotting the recent deal posted for the 20 quid 720p version and today saw they are doing a deal on the 1080p model so have ordered one to see for myself. If the deal is still live when I get it I will then update with my thoughts on the camera. Seems like it's worth a try at this price though!

Please note, a number of people recently reported issues getting a working ios app so Apple users may want to look into this. I did notice a recent review saying the issue is now solved but not being an Apple user I've not looked into it further.

Yes I did see that mentioned in a review. Some seemed concerned, others seem to think it was similar to terms you need to agree to for all kinds of apps. To be honest I figured people are tracking my internet use all the time one way or another so I'm not sure if this needs to worry me or not!

I think the issue is that this would be inside your network, so there's more chance of passwords/logins/purchases/addresses being tracked.

If it is this one, I tihnk the terms said they won't be held responsible for how the third parties they give the info to use it

I may have to look into this further once I've decided if the camera itself seems worthwhile keeping. Reviews seem pretty good if you ignore the ios problems but if there is a danger of them stealing personal information rather than just tracking website visits then everything else becomes irrelevant and it will be going straight back!

EDIT: If anyone has any links to further info regarding any potential security risk then please do post. I thought I'd seen something recently in an amazon review but can't spot it now so wondering if it was a different camera I had been looking at.

It's either badly worded, or quite scary!

Think that the use of their cloud service. Not the general use of the internet in your house.
Ok, actually read where the exert is from and it isabout using their services i.e website. So it means the data you enter is the data they store. Same as most other websites that we use out there.

"Technology Co., LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its websites and users of its mobile applications, products, and services (each a “Service” and collectively the “Services”). When you access, browse, or use the Services.."

I don't know what to think to be honest! So they aren't making notes of my amazon and facebook passwords so they can read my facebook messages, realise from that I'm on holiday then order a shitload of crap from amazon at my expense while I'm not paying attention, then log into BA and cancel my flight home? That's what it seemed like when I first read it!
They do have a temporary app for iOS available. Search for Yi home lite in the AppStore. Was about to send my 720p version back but they’ve released this until the full app gets approval.
The deal has been expired but it's still available at £32.99 with the current promotion as I type this. Received mine a few days ago and I'm very impressed indeed. For me, the real bonus that I hadn't expected is the free 6 second cloud storage. Not a lot of use to some but the short vid alert should be enough to differentiate between false alarm and intruder so for my purposes I'm very pleased indeed.
