You don’t need a subscription, just put a 32gb card in it, I have the 1080p version in my lounge window and the outdoor camera on the side of the house, you can check them from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection, you can also set zones that detect movement and it will text you a clip of what’s happening, they are great.

2 posts ago it’s said you can put a card on it, no need for cloud it seems.

I'd rather have local recording setup to another device, or FTP image upload to a server to get around the cloud service prices. if someone does break in it's likely they will take the camera along with the card.

i don't use the subscription and get no notifications asking to sign up / offers etc
Had this camera before until dog got it. Reordered thanks!
Is this good for a baby cam?
Little one will be going into his own room soon, so not too worried about recording, just want a clean live stream.
Is the iphone app good?
For £20 worth a punt. Got one in black. Thanks.

If you want continuous recording you'd need a subscription.

Without one you will still get alerts and a mini 10 sec (I think) clip when the motion was detected.

I'd say yes, it's honestly a clear picture and you can hear everything , there's even a 2-way voice function is needed.

I have the android version of the app and it honestly is straight forward, i'm sure others with confirm regarding the iOS version though!
Good deal...but is the app in Chinese only?

Dam it bought 2 yesterday at 22.99
Can anyone recommend an outdoor equivalent of this?
Can you log in to the back end and setup your own recording software / mailer / FTP uploads etc? Your not forced to use their cloud service are you?
seems to be a lot of bad reviews on amazon?
33593930-QGK0n.jpgWhy is the cloud service so expensive?
It's triple the price of Ring doorbell.
How is this powered? YouTube shows connected a power lead but then it says wireless?

also. Do they come with some kind of wall mount etc and any idea how much the subscription is
I bought one for £22.99 yesterday as well, I can recoomend, that was my 2nd. There is a UK IOS app for this.
I've mentioned this before. Check out the app reviews on playstore, head and shoulders above other cheap IP camera. I have 4,;use as baby monitors and CCTV. Just make sure your wireless signal is strong all around the the house. It uses 2.4ghz which is the worst thing about most ip cameras. Unless you want to buy a nest cam this is the next best thing.

240 V, Wireless ,as in Internet,
Thank you, ordered
Thinking of giving this a shot to keep an eye on my car.
Car is parked about 10-15 metres away from where this would be plugged in. Would it do the job? Not sure what the image would be like at night.
Many thanks.
Ordered one, Thank you I pay £4.99 a month for the one I have from Smartfrog might be sending it back now

I’ve just downloaded it on my iPhone 7 and it’s working fine, it’s Called YI home
Do you need subscription to record or can you record locally, if it's cloud only it's crap, my 8 year old cheapo IP cam let you connect and save thereal time MP4 on to a PC.

Im wondering the same thing. Looks like it's cloud only. Alot of cameras close off the back end and remove all those features so they can extort users to pay for the cloud service these days and market it as "easy to set up" and people lap it up. Probably why they are selling it so cheap. I've ordered a couple but I don't hold my breath you can setup local recording to NAS / PC. Even FTP image upload would be fine for me to be honest.
A really great camera for the price. The app you can use on your phone is decent too. I use this camera in my 4 month old daughter's room to keep an eye on her at night, even from work when I'm on nights. Couldn't live without it at this point.

Buy a 32gb microSD card though, you can grab a cheap one for around £9, it'll store the recordings locally so you can access them without any issues.

And no, you don't need a subscription. You will need to sign up on their app, but it's completely free and I've not had any spam email or anything.

32gb card gets you 2 days recording time then it just rewrites over itself, you can scroll back through footage and save it in the event something happens.
