Is this webcam only for Geordies or can anyone use it?

Sold by YI Official Store UK, not Amazon

Is this Xioami ???

Just returning one as their App Store app isn’t available making it useless. Android should be available though

Anyone tested? Any good

Returning mine, I need the app as well. Nice but of equipment though .

It says iOS version is awaiting firmware changes. Should be back up in a few days.

How big a memory card will it need to take a few days recording on the SD card?

Shame can only buy one at the discounted price.

If this has the same quality as their dashcam that was on offer from amazon for 31£ ( currently 41£) than this is a great deal!

8gb - 32gb

Thanks, I've been waiting for a cheap and yet decent IP camera with a good Android app support.

I have one I bought on another voucher deal from Amazon and it works well. I get alerts if there is movement plus a short video sent to me. And I can check live. There's also an intercom function.
Image is pretty good even in low light.
My last home monitor camera was a y-cam which had free 7 day cloud storage for life - until they decided it wasn't commercially viable and withdrew the for life bit and asked everyone to subscribe! That cost me over £100 and I actually think this is better.
Only thing I miss is location alerts, as I don't need it to alert me to movement when I'm at home. If anyone knows a way to do this would appreciate it.
At this price I'll get another. Thanks OP

Also bought one last week.
Came yesterday, looks good so far.
Will post an update after a little play time

Cool thanks op

Thanks OP

I bought one last week.
Great wee camera for the money.
Easy to connect, decent image quality, good sd card recording and playback or live view on app.
No need for cloud app if you have an sd card.
Having had a few of these cameras over the years...I don't think you will get better for this price!!

Thanks OP, at £20 bit of a steal as that's less than the Clever Dog ones.

Does anyone have any experience of the higher-cost ones from Yi with pan/tilt? And as someone else asked is 'Yi' the Xiaomi sub-brand?

No experience of the other Yi cams but I forgot to mention that the viewing angle on this cam is really wide compared to most. Tried clever dog cam....was unreliable and viewing angle was pants...especially if you want to cover a whole room.

Thanks. I had a different experience with Clever Dogs. Quality wasn't amazing but easy to setup and no on-going fees like that ridiculous Nest offering. The black Clever Dog (panorama version) has a really wide, near-180 fish eye lens with correction in the app.

I bought one of these Yi cams to have a try out.

Can anyone tell me if the image can be rotated in the app or the camera rotated in the holder as I am considering mounting this to the ceiling in the porch. Thanks.

Both.

Was going to buy until I read YI have updated privacy policies and sell all your browser info on to 3rd parties with no opt out. Also the product has been pulled from Amazon US, 'latest' firmware has caused quality issues with camera and obviously isn't supported if you are iOS only which seems to be the case for some number of months. Selling old unwanted stock onto us. Apart from this sounded great.

Thanks OP. Gone for a couple in the hope that I can get them to work with TinyCam

Oh dear. Thanks for the heads up. Will set it up only to come on when everyone is out of the house.

Great viewing via the app.
We were watching what the dog gets up too when we go out!

Will use this at night to watch over the cars

Or vestel

Well I set mine up to overlook my back garden. Just by chance earlier I was showing my mate how it works when an Amazon delivery man turned up. So i'm like, watch this, i've left clear instructions where the parcels need to go and if he doesn't see them it'll say the safe place on the label.

About 30 seconds he's out of view then he goes out of the gate. I was like WTF??? Told my mate what the delivery was and we quickly headed back to mine to find the box containing my new oculus rift dumped in a puddle by the back door!

Luckily we got there before the water got to the inner box, but still..... Just wish i'd bothered to hit record because I hadn't put a memory card in the camera. That would have been comedy gold.

So, as I said before, the visual quality isn't brilliant, but these cameras definitely have a use

Expired?

Expired?

Looks that way. I just set my two up. They are doing what they're meant to do but haven't/can't get them working with TinyCam, which I would prefer. The app seems alright, but I'm always worried about what these Chinese apps are capturing from your phone and sending back home.

The white one has £18 off at £21.99

Do you need code? The £20 off promotion doesnt seem to applied?

Edited:
just found how to redeem!
