Just a mention C3X dark fighter EZVIZ suppose to be on the market in May If you have a bit of light these Type of camera turns night into day. Don’t know the price. Keep an eye out

What is the difference between this and the other yi outdoor one??

This one doesn't work with the YI app that everyone uses. That is why it's cheap, I believe.

Where can you buy a UK Power adapter please?

40077955-jsS1X.jpg

One review has this picture. I am pretty sure it is a standard usb 5v power supply what it needs. I would use a minimum 1A usb charger but not sure how power hungry it is... You can also find in the UK extension lead with bulit in USB sockets...
Looking at the reviews on Ali Express, it implies that it doesn't use the standard Yi Home app. I've already got 3 other Yi cameras so would want to use one app for them all. Has anyone tried one of these?

From customer reviews and experience with indoor Yi cameras it looks like it comes with a USB charger too so you should be able to use other equivalent power adapters that you may already have.

The power adaptor is a standard USB power adaptor and doesn't draw much power so any mobile adaptor should do.

Anyone with ONVIF experience? I am actually looking for a truly wireless cam with ONVIF support

I have both on my android devices. It's no bother. The YI IOT app is pretty good.
Thanks for posting

Try to log out and log into your account. Also, try to add your address again. Maybe these will help.

Any advice on where a pure beginner (me) that is looking to set up some home security monitoring - driveway, front door, back garden etc should look to get info in what kit to get to start up?price of this camera looks good And I would get three of them, but don’t have a scooby on what to do after that!
I'd be interested to see some recorded footage to see the real video quality.
If anyone already has one of these, could you upload some samples please?
Ordered, Thanx OP

I thought for the price it’s worth a go trying one of these and buying more if they are ok.
People are being roped in here because of the 'Yi' brand.

This is not an official 'Yi' camera. This is a knock-off using their name, and the reviews for similar cameras on Amazon will ensure you avoid this brand.

Why do they use another app, more memory taken on phone.
I bought one in the last deal. Very pleased with it. Works better than my old yi 1080 home camera set up.
You can also add this to your existing yi cloud account

I'd go for this. Works out of the box, no fuss.
I was surprised to learn I've had mine for nearly a year. That how little fuss they are
Good price, Voted hot but I think this is the lower version.

No human detection and no free cloud 6seconds videos.
Does this record? Memory card slot? Cloud?

Does it re-write over once storage is full so it’s looping?

Yep, mine is powered from a standard usb plug.

micro sd card with file cycling, so it'll record forever, overwriting the oldest footage.

So do you literally buy this, install it, and then what? Don’t you need an app so that you can view the recordings or live feed? Does it alert you to motion? Sorry for the questions, want to know what I’m getting into!
These are not Xiaomi related devices.

Ive installed the app and it links to this website: yunyiiot.com/

Put sd card in, power up, download the app, go into settings and choose functionality of alerts, definition etc. Easy to do
Does it unplug anywhere save having to drill a 1/2'' USB sized hole through my window frame
