I've not actually seen this model before, although it looks pretty interesting. Has a decent sensor, a 2.4" screen and some driver assistance alerts (which is news to me ) Shipping is 20-40 Days so keep that in mind if you're in a rush for one. In my experience delivery times have been faster than stated.

**Keep in mind there may be import tax to add on**

Got this during prime day. Still trying to find a suction mount for it as I think it’s different to the other yi dash cam ones

From what I can see it looks similar to mine (I have the grey yi dash cam).

Someone on here found a suction mount for that.

Might be worth a look? Sorry if I'm wrong.
This is better, from the UK (no import tax) and £50 next day delivery if you use the 5% voucher and have Prime:

When you say 'better', what do you mean?
The lane departure warning etc is pretty rubbish tbh, I am sure most of the people have turned it off.

Higher resolution, bigger screen, wider lens and records as high quality MOV files and not lower quality MP4. Also I think it comes with a GPS adapter and It still has 60 FPS. Infact the only thing better is the Yi camera has capacitors to power it instead of a battery.

Thanks. My thoughts:
Higher resolution could a bit of a gimmick from what I've read as it could be interpolated rather than true 1296p.
As is wider lens - it does have its uses but I understand that a cam with a wider angle decreases the quality in other parts of the image.
I didn't think there was a difference between mov and MP4 tbh. I would've thought mov would be a little more inconvenient as mp4 is the prevalent format (playback on smartphones).
60fps would be good though.

I've learned that the most important aspect of any dash cam is which sensor it has inside it. This Yi cam has one of the latest, the IMX307 - which is a cost reduced version of the IMX291 which is the best night vision sensor out atm from my research.
I couldn't see any info which suggested which sensor was in the cam that you recommended but normally that doesn't mean Sony Starvis IMX :/ am happy to be corrected though. Hopefully it's the same or better

I have this exact camera as well as a few others. The 1296 30fps resolution definitely is not a gimmick but I would rather take the 60fps at 1080 than more width. As for the lens there is no barrel distortion or any fringe blurring so that is nothing to worry about. As for the sensor there are many Sony sensors ranging from budget to quality and the IMX307 is a budget version seen primarily in Chinese home cameras. Lastly Mp4 can be good but as it's based on AVI the quality can vary vastly.

Personally, I think you should buy this one and upload some side by side footage
