As i posted in the other thread, watch out for those cloud storage prices, especially if you only plan to have the one cam. These things are becoming like printers, forget the purchase price, look at how much they cost to 'run'.

Still have to drill

I know, would you believe they make a camera that requires a lead to power it, also it would be good if these cameras stuck to the wall without any screws, you would not need to drill any holes then?
I think this is close to the cheapest this camera has been. I have one and don't pay for a subscription. I use a memory card and I get free 6 second cloud alerts on the app when there's movement.

Great price for a great camera
What the subscription charge for the app it uses to store footage?

Wasn't this posted earlier on today from AliExpress (although that deal doesn't factor in any taxes etc.)

Don't know if the Aliexpress one posted earlier is the newer model of this one or just a different one.

Also I thought this one doesn't need a cloud subscription, it can just be used with local SD storage right?

Yeah I saw that, I am just never sure about ordering from Ali Express so went for the admittedly more expensive Amazon option.

They can both be used with or without subscription I believe. I have the indoor versions and both great. So the one this morning was a better deal but longer delivery plus possible charges

Yeah never actually paid for the cloud storage so far. Just got SD cards in the cameras. However I am thinking of it, so for 3 cameras and 7 day recording it is 60 Euros which I think is a reasonable yearly cost.
Anyone know how long the power cable is on one of these?

Yes my point was that price is the same even if you had just one camera. But for 3 it's a much better deal (although 7 day storage compares unfavourably to Rings 30 day)
Have the android notifications been fixed now with these? I stopped using my Yi cameras a few months ago as I never got any notifications unless I opened the app. Have been using a TP-Link Kasa cam since then but would quite like an outdoor cam if the issues are fixed.

Hmmm since the cable only provides power maybe cut the cable, run it through the wall, and join it?

I invested in the Netvue ip66 outdoor camera when on a deal, is the Netvue decent? Or go for this?

I have some of the indoor cams, can you tell me what the point of cloud storage would be with these or than in case someone physically stole the camera you'd lose the footage? I have a couple of the indoor cameras, you put a memory card in and you have all motion/audio detection for 7 days anyway?

To be honest.... Not sure there is, which is why I haven't paid for the cloud service as yet.
I've got 3 of the indoor cam's, one of which is outside in an outdoor case from aliexpress and it's not died yet which is nice.
I've thought about the cloud service but to be honest i don't see the point. I have 32gb micro-sd cards in and they are recording all the time (not just for alerts, i do have notifications setup for motion). The only downside is because of the constant writing-rewriting to the card i have to replace them every 6-12 months.
I have the USB cable going through the window/door seal which also works fine.

I have been pondering about getting the external cam.

The closest is Blink XT, XT2 wireless range. Only requires one screw.

I guess it draws its power from a battery that needs replacing/recharging, or is it solar powered?

USB Rechargeable battery, just pulls off and clips on. Ring is a better option IMHO.

I'll have a look but this was over 18 months ago!
Can you connect this to a hard drive to record?

I've had mine running for 15 months now on the original sd card without issues. I do format the card using the app every couple of months, which possibly helps prolong it's life.
