YKZ Magnetic USB Cable For Type C / Iphone / Micro USB Charging @ Aliexpress - 87p

I know I know, cheap charging cables from China etc etc. Ignoring the obvious comments, has anyone tried this or similar before? Looks like you can just switch between the charging connectors and have Micro USB, Iphone and type-C. They ONLY support charging though, nothing else judging from the description.

It's 87p for the cable and the connectors are sold separate. Thoughts?

Haven't put through an order yet, but it says free shipping for me "Free Shipping to United Kingdom via China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus"

What are the point of these? Is it that you leave the connector in the bottom of the device 24/7 and just attach the cable when needed?

Yeah, and easily disconnects so you can just pull the phone away and walk

The connectors are sold separately on the same page (middle row). Micro USB is 56p for instance. So you'd buy the ones you need.
The 87p variant does NOT include the USB C connector that goes into the phone. It's just a USB cable with a magnetic tip.

Hence the description 'It's 87p for the cable and the connectors are sold separate.' I didn't want to put the price with all the connectors as it will depend what people need. Maybe people only want micro and type C

These are a deathtrap
the idea is that you don't damage/wear out the usb port with the plug, which happens.
I've bought similar (different make) from Banggood, and they work fine with my Nokia 8 Android, Kindle, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet etc. Saves a lot of mechanical wear and tear on their sockets, by not having the connectors being constantly plugged in and out. Works with both wall chargers and phone charging socket in car.
Can you risk it with a APPLE IPHONE XS MAX 512GB worth £1099.000
I use something similar for my PS4 controllers as can be quite fiddly plugging in
I've wanted to get a bunch of these cables for a while
But I've always seen them to be about £10 with one cable and 2 heads for it
I don't know why I didn't look at AliExpress..

At least here the cable WITH a head is like £1.13 for Type-C or £1.09 for Micro-USB
So I'm gonna get like 7 Micro USB and 3 Type C I think
Hopefully they work well, but £10 isn't exactly a lot to lose when there is so much savings when compared to the Amazon brands

Do you have any source?
I'm not calling you a liar...but I've tried looking up the reviews you speak of, as potential fires are something I personally would be very concerned about

But I could find 0 and I actually mean ZERO articles supporting what you're saying....and I did look

The only articles I found were simply slating people for leaving phone chargers in 24/7, nothing specifically to do with the magnet variants at all

I've got one from a different seller, used it every day for around 2 months. Works great, although doesn't fast charge with a fast charge Samsung plug. I keep the adapter permanently in the port on my phone it protects the port that way too. Handy to just pull your phone away from it and the light at the end of the cable shows whether its powered on or off. I paid around £3.69 fast delivery off Ebay 👌
I bought this type of cable (though not this brand) for my kids, who are constantly ruining decent charger cables, snapping them off in the ipad etc. These pull away and leave the connector in, so as long as the little bu&&ers don't lose the connectors, it's a smart move if you have kids. Or if you call asleep holding your phone.

You forgot to mention that you can get electrocuted too.
Added multiples and got charged delivery for each line. The trick is to add one of each cable / connector you want to your basket, and amend the quantity in the basket to maintain the free shipping

How? AC? DC? Induction? Static?

I would never (again) buy a cheap adaptor, but a cable that does not get plugged into the mains is different?

I currently use these amazon.co.uk/dp/…tem and they are mediocre in their connection.
