Ryobi RRS1801M ONE+ Reciprocating Saw, reduced on Amazon from 70 to 53.99 reviews seems pretty decent. There is a newer model available but twice the price!

Not the cheapest it's been as ist was £40.99 in 2017,when I picked up mine, but with the DeLorean being out of commission, this is the best price for a long time.

I have a lots of Ryobi stuff and have replaced the old blue models with the new lime green models as time has gone by and they are excellent for DIY use,

However, if want a reciprocating saw for professional use, Makita would probably be better choice.

I use Makita at work and quality and robustness are worlds apart (IMHO of course).

Makita 18v DJR186Z Reciprocating Saw (Body Only) currently £79.99 (RRP £179.00) on Amazon.
I've had this a year or so. Great for foraging for smokewood for my BBQ...

I have a Bosch and I’ve found the right blade makes far more difference than the power. I tried cheap blades - lesson learned there

While you correct with regard the blades, (try Lennox Gold or Diablo Carbide), the machine does make a difference also.

Especially if using for long periods, then the pro-grade tools will have better AVT/HAV protection

Sorely tempted.

Just annoyed that I've recently knocked my pan in with a bow saw in the over-grown garden of our new house. I needed this 3 months ago!

Might still get it though.
