Good deal but I went for the S740 £809.99 i7 10th gen Skylake with iris, 512gb ssd and faster ram. Cheapest I could find comparable specs are £1400 from Dell.

RAM on both seems to be same speed?

Good choice, i5 10210U is 10th gen but old technology (14nm - intel is playing silly games here), while i7 1065G7 is a proper new 10th gen (10nm) with better internal GPU.

I wish they sold it with 16gb ram. 8gb is not enough for my work and sooner rather than later it wont be enough in general (office, web browser, netflix etc).

3200mhz vs 2400mhz the S740 is more power efficient too. Where you lose out on the s740 is a touchscreen and pen.

I agree but I think I can squeeze a few years out of 8GB, other than browser tabs I don’t really multitask. Seems a beast for a mobile laptop with up-to 14hours of battery and with it on order I avoid any temptation of being ripped off after Apples keynote tonight lol

I would be interested to see what the screen is like in terms of colour gamut. When they release 16gb (and they said they will over the chat), I might take a bite. If you compare latest Macbook pro 13 to this Lenovo, Lenovo wins in almost every department!

I was looking at the c740. Would'nt 16gb of slower memory be beter than 8gb of slightly faster for most purposes?
10th Gen? When did 9th gen even come out!

Have seen Yoga C940 is looks beautiful
Great line of laptops, beautiful, we have Yoga C930 Vibes edition, unfortunately, the LCD tape is poorly designed and the pen is much worse quality than my Surface pen
They've a flash sale set for Thursday, so there could be better prices then.
For anyone with UNiDAYS or Student Beans you get the 10% already knocked off and can then use the code to get a further 10% making it £607

The c740 has 8GB doesn’t it? It depends on your needs. If you browse the web, use Netflix/Ms office email (light tasks) I would say 8GB faster is more than enough and a better option. If you want to render a video and play games at the same time then you would benefit from the extra ram, I wouldn’t recommend gaming on these laptops though as the cooling doesn’t look suited for longevity.
