Excellent, a quality brew.

Ta, should make a lovely brew.

I started buying Yorkshire Tea (from Tetley) after trying out the free samples they sent out last year. Definately the best cup of tea you can get IMO, and I've tried them all.

Ive been a loyal Tetley girl for many years, but willing to give this a try - cant stand Namarrie or Scottish Blend!!! yuk!! You can totally taste the difference! Thanks for posting this thread HORLET. H&R added.

Ditto. I grew up on it as it's all my mum and dad buy. I tried to convert my mum (my dad's a coffee drinker) but she couldn't taste the difference apparently!

Send off for the free sample on their site (you should get 2 bags). I won't have anything else now. They are a little more expensive than Tetley / PG Tips etc... but worth it in my book. Iceland have an offer on at the moment for 160 tea bags for £2. I usually pay around £2 for 80 in Sainsbury's so this is a good deal. There isn't an Iceland near me but my sister lives right next to one. I'll be texting her in the morning haha.

Thanks, have joined up.

I'm a Typhoo girl myself, (girl, she says, ha!) but was recently converted to Pluckley tea after tasting it during a visit to Kent. Best tea I've ever had.

Haven't had Yorkshire for a bit though willing to give it a retry but PG tips has a bitter after taste which is odd because its all we used to drink at home when we were kids.:?

Although the tea itself is great, the Yorkshire Tea company sadly, can't be trusted. Many of us faithfully saved up the coupons printed on the packs, over the years, anticipating that we would be exchanging them for Yorkshire Tea mugs, tea towels, etc.

Suddenly, one day, without warning the Yorkshire Tea company reneged on their offer and withdrew their promise to exchange coupons for gifts. :x

Having lost my loyalty, I started looking elsewhere and found that Whittard of Chelsea do some even more wonderful strong teas that knock Yorkshire Tea for six! They are a bit more expensive but they have a 25% discount deal on currently:-D:

These are some of the finest tea and coffee you would drink in your lifetime. Yorkshire is ok compared to them

You've stepped forward by triying this one, but you'll never make it to the finest of tea unless you try the 2 above mentioned

Thanks Horlet, I'll give 'em a go.

Have you tried Pluckleys? I can recommend it.

Nope...until I googled it and they say on their webbie : "Is a special blend of finest teas from Kenya and India..."

I like the packaging and the way they say it's made...

Worth a try:thumbsup: Thanks for that and you're most welcome!

Many thanks jezjones, for the links above. This is quite different information to that originally given out by Yorkshire Tea - shortly after they quit the coupons (perhaps other consumers were as equally incensed as I was, and protested).

It comes a bit too late for some I know who have now thrown out their coupons but, lucky for me, I still have mine.

thanks
