Grab it while it lasts. All seafood lovers will know while scampi is ludicrously tasty it is rather expensive around £3.99 for 250g bag thats £16/kg!

However spotted in Sainsburys Youngs Scampi reduced to £1 this is fantastic value in itself, but the scanned as Buy 1 Get 1 Free too

I think this is an error as there were higher priced scampi with this promotion and it must have applied to ALL scampi..

NOTE: There are two styles, Jumbo Scampi which are 240g which are £3.99 BOGOF and the aforementioned pack which are 250g which are reduced.

Stock up, it will never be this cheap again!!

Store specific so may not be available in all plaices.

One possible source of confusion is that there are two types of 250g bags and the picture shown of the "Isle of Lewis" scampi is still priced £3.99. The variety that you should be looking out for is the 250g bag which is simply marked "Scampi". Hope this helps someone.

Personally I prefer older scampi.

Too many fish jokes, lol.

Is this nationwide or not?

Just been to the my local store in Swindon and scanned through at full price with no bogof offer attached

Looks like it may have been store pacific

Out of stock in my local.

I did buy some frozen haddock - would you believe I found a bloody syringe in the packet....so went storming back ...apparently I'd bought drug haddocks.

Sheesh....mind you, we had a right laugh at the customer server counter (I even managed to slip in a few scampi themed gags)

I bought this last week, at £4 and BOGOF. It is horrid stuff. There were 10 scampi in 1 bag and they were all covered in the black intestine. Not nice at all.

I don't really want any more serious comments on this item, just fish jokes please, for goodness hake.

Cod someone find another plaice for these rubbish fish jokes

Stop talking Pollocks

nice catch

Are these actually real scampi? Not bits of scampi meat stuck together or even bits of other seafood and scampi and/or fishsticks stuck into scampi shapes. It's quite difficult to get whole real scampi. If not, they're only worth 50p per bag or less IMO.

I think there may be something fishy going on here...............

Can mod please unexpire.. deal still ongoing but store specific

This has not expired although the prices may well get reset at midnight. Bought (last) six packs in London after work today for £3; used self service, scanned at £1 each with BOGOF applied every second bag.

Thanks OP - they do exist, it isn't store specific, but they may be all gone by now.

It's only the 250g packets which don't say "Isle of Lewis" on them.

^^^ This.

Anyway just to add, heat added and I bought about 20 packs

still going through?

Thanks, was wondering what to do for tea tonight, now I have something in plaice!

Even the more expensive Isle Of Lewis Scamp is 'formed' out of bits and only contains 39% scampi

not working in my local store (Hove) they had the "Scampi" bag coming in at £3.99
