I've been mug enough to be a "plus" member for a year and never received this promotion ... and my wife, a non-plus member, was given it last summer.

They also still sit on my cashback claims for 4 months and never act unless prodded despite Plus membership apparently securing better support. In the same way as it is also meant to offer more promotions ... except, it seems, useful ones like this.

Personally I think that Plus membership is a scam and that TCB are going down the pan in terms of customer service.

Plus Membership gains you access to some great perks including increased top up, increased tell a friend rates, increased payout rates and other things such as no sponsored ads.

Being on this enhanced membership level does not automatically lead you to being selected to take part in one of these selected member bonuses where the criteria can change for each bonus we run. It is your personal decision if you want to be a Plus Member or not. We are happy either way. It's your judgement and not ours

It is disappointing that not being included in this bonus leads you feeling so negativity towards us. We ran a bonus two weeks ago for every member of our site who wanted to take part.

We do not sit on claims for four months, it generally takes this long for us to hear back from the tracking network and if we hear back any quicker we will let you know. It is there to manage your expectations so you are not chasing your claim up after a week or so when we normally wouldn't expect a response in this time frame - in the same way as other cashback sites wouldn't expect a response in that time frame.

We would happily have paid out should you have been eligible for this bonus.
If you have an example of a bonus that hasn't been paid but should have been I kindly ask you to give us the chance to sort it.

We carefully moniter bonuses to make sure they are working correctly and fix them where necessary. We are not aware of any bonuses that are having issues at the moment but if you do truly have a concern we will be happy to take a look and fix if it is needed.

Oh wow, reps on HOTUK, nice! I looked through the app for contract info and didn't seem to be any, i bought a game from Argos using fast track, and nothin has tracked, even the purchases isn't logged onto the app

i have noticed on tcb that all my large amounts seen to get declined or they say it never tracked but all my small amounts always track and get paid now this is either coincidental or something else

As your purchase didn't track itself you will need to lodge a claim for this so we can query why it didn't track.

If you click on 'Account' and then 'Customer Care' you will see the 'Lodge a claim' button. There is a brief form to fill in and if you post a message on the thread to say you were expecting the bonus also we will award this if the claim is succesful

The Rep will be having fits, but this is just a dupe by TCB to get some extra revenue in, when most bonuses won't track. Then Rep meister will be replying saying, "oh but you can put a manual claim in".... well this is how that goes imo:

1) You put a manual claim in
2) TCB send to merchant/affiliate network
3) You nudge them for several months, without any replies on updates
4) 12 months later, TCB reply and say that the affiliate network is no longer available
5) Not to worry, TCB will no doubt still collect their cut and enjoy the Xmas party

There are plenty of things in this world that are funny and make us laugh. Asking you to allow us to be paid is not one of them.

When a retailer has not paid us then it is true we are unable to pass this on. If we passed this on to you before we are paid this wouldn't be fair on any members who are waiting for payment themselves.

I understand it's frustrating to wait for some money you have pending in your account but at the same time we have to think of this in the bigger picture and how it affects other members if we decided to pay you before we are paid.

Normally when you make large scaled purchases you tend to browse around a bit more to find the best deal - I know I do anyway.

This leads to more cookies on your device which itself leads to an increased risk of someone else being paid the commission we pass on to you as cashback. This is why we advise to clear cookies and cache.

With insurance purchases this does also include not using saved quotes and in addition if you find a purchase due to using a comparison site just before using our site they may get the commission also.

It is very unfortunate that you underestimate us in this way.

We want and as many purchases to track through us as possible in order to get our members the highest rates possible and to receive more money to invest back into the member experience.

A untracked sale is a sale not recognised as coming through TopCashback - that is never under any circumstances a good thing.

If untracked purchased were a good thing that saved us a few quid we'd simply close down the claims system and not allow you to claim. Instead, we do quite the opposite and invest heavily into it because getting decisions overturned makes happier members and increased the number of transactions seen as coming through us.

That's fair enough, however, if I was in the same position as you I wouldn't be dealing with the vendor (ASDA) anymore, and thus wouldn't be 'offering' the same never never payback.

We do not deal with retailers who don't have any intention to pay up. However, as I am sure you can understand if transaction on the whole track but the odd one or two doesn't there normally is a reason behind this.

I get that it's annoying waiting for us to hear back and we are looking at ways to make the whole process better for anyone but we are unable to remove a retailer due to a very small number of transactions.

I understand this won't help your case at the moment but I have checked through the transactions for this retailer for the offer you mention and they have paid out a lot of cashback for the exact offer you made.

The reason your purchase didn't track is not something I am aware of at this present moment - hopefully the claim will either bring an overturned decision or a reason why it didn't track.

We are very much in your corner and we want this resolved successfully if we can get that for you but we can only do this if the network agrees TopCashback was the reason you made your purchase. This is what we will be trying to do at this present moment.

Sometimes they can take time to get back to each of the company's that submit claims to them and this is something we are looking at more widely as we want to be able to bring you a response as soon as we can while also working within our remit of being a commission source trying to get the commission we believe we are due going by your information.

Also worth noting that even if you are able to activate it from a external link e.g. HUKD it will still get declined if you didn't also receive the email invite. TCB rep confirmed it on a earlier thread. Personally I think that is VERY shady behaviour as ppl might activate it through here, see they are said to be eligible on TCB site and then make a purchase on the strength of it (esp for the £5) just to get the cashback declined and probably end up with something they didn't really want...
