Is this the same one that was on the Xbox about 4 years ago?

I don't think link summoning is that old.
This is an improved remake, containing all the previously released "Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist" content and DLC, new story and characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS and the option to play as the villains in "reverse-duels". Presents Link Monsters and the New Master Rule to the game, allows duelling online and has added more cards (now over 9000, the old game has less than 7500) up to the release of Soul Fusion and Hidden Summoners.

Cheers will give it a go
Just know yeah it is the same but have HAVE to play with the new master Rule. This meaning you cannot synchro spam etc and you have to use Link monsters to utilize the full field.

It's a good game though!

I have no idea what this means Is my aim still to get Blue-eyes ultimate dragon onto the field and proceed to decimate everything?

I imagine not

ordered!

not played a yugioh game in years but used to enjoy it, so happy to give this a go for under £30
I challenge your blue eyes with kuribo
Definitely beats paying £49.99 for it on the Eshop, plus you get some cards with it to boot.

Yeah you can still do that, basically you are limited to extra deck summons on the field unless you have link monsters that point to other parts of the field where you can then special summon other extra deck monsters lol. You will see when you play it.

I quit playing in real life when Pendulum momsters were introduced. Picked this up from the jap eshop a few months ago and was shocked at how much the game has changed.

I'm not a fan of the new master rule and the fact that they force you to play it even during the older era story mode (same rule even when play GX, 5D's etc). You basically NEED to use Link monsters... lol.

It has local and online multiplayer, but both players would need a Switch and a copy of the game.
I don't see how 2 players on 1 console would work anyway, you could see each others hand!
