I know the TP-Link WiFi power monitor smart plug is going for £19 just now, but this is an alternative if you've invested in a Samsung Smartthings or other Z-Wave system.
The Heiman plug is more compact than the TP-Link, is 13A, Z-wave connected which is good if your home system is offline, and you can now get 2 for £34 making them about the same as/little cheaper than 2 TP-Links.
edit: price drop by £5 on single unit
edit2: another price drop to £22.49 a unit/£34 a pair

Have you used these? Much cheaper than the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 but never heard of this brand.
Anyone used it with Fibaro?
does anyone know if this will work with the Xiaomi smart home stuff. I want to set it up so that my kettle makes me a brew when the front door sensor gets activated in the evening.

The Heiman brand sold by Foniacs came up in this post
hotukdeals.com/dea…567
and was confirmed to work with Smartthings.
It won't work with the Xiaomi hub as the hub is Zigbee radio and this is Z-wave radio.
The Xiaomi sensors do work with Smartthings though, as that hub has both Zigbee and Z-wave.

I've not used these, but considering, as I like to employ alternate radio protocols and not rely on just one.
Foniacs seem to have a rebadge deal with Heiman and Everspring, as their door sensor and Zwave usb dongle have Foniacs stickers. Maybe they will start selling more in the range of sensors?
I've paid far far less for zwave plugs before. Cold

Good to know. Especially if you point some deals out for us.
When I started looking at Zwave systems, average price was £30 -50 for a single device.
Do the TP links not work with Smartthings?
This seems a good price for zwave, sadly don't work with my setup (Athom Homey)

beginning to think I shouldn't have shelled out for the Xiaomi hub and got the Samsung one, sooo expensive in comparison though. Shame Xiaomi don't do any UK smart plugs as this would fit in with my Xiaomi system (still waiting delivery)

I went with HomeSeer software running on a Windows PC with a Z-Wave Me USB stick. The software is 50% off at the moment.
I'd love to but they haven't been around for a while. I paid £37 for this kit Hauppauge mySmarthome Control Kit - Controller, 2x UK Plugs, and 4-in-1 Sensor amazon.co.uk/dp/…032 I purchased 3 sets as that was an absolute steal (probably a misprice). As a result I have 6 sockets and 3 pir/door contact hooked up to my smart things up for under 100 quid. The hubs that came with are just rotting in a cupboard

Yup as on that other thread the usb stick and door sensors work beautifully. Bargains.

Im going to consider replacing a few of my orvibo wifi plugs with these. I'm really waiting for some cheapo motion or multi-sensors from Foniacs.

Also now showing as £24.

Yes, the Hauppage set was a bargain clearance, as I think they are discontinued really. But I didn't think the smart plugs also reported power usage, only on/off/timer?

The Xiaomi hub is a good start to see if you like the home auto thing, considering that most of the cheap sensors and bulbs posted here are Xiaomi and will work fine with it.

One advantage of the Samsung is to also use Z-wave, but, as I've said, they are usually Fibaro, AeonTec, etc and normally £30 even for a door sensor.
Foniacs sell a Z-wave usb dongle for a pc that's 25% of the usual price, so the range they sell (plug, sensor, dongle) has only made a cheap Zwave system possible now as far as I can see.
I've bought a couple to see how they compare to the Aeotec Smart Switch. Hope they don't burn the house down now.....

Have you got a Z-wave Smoke alarm too, or a Honeywell/Xiaomi Zigbee device installed?

Waiting for the Nest Protects to drop in price. Missed 11 from the Amazon UK/De Warehouses. If they don't drop tomorrow I'll look at other Z-Wave alarms.
do these work out of the box with SmartThings?

The original post hotukdeals.com/dea…390 where Hauppage smarthome devices and hub were sold off, clearance items

The Heiman door sensors hotukdeals.com/dea…567 are compatible, I imagine these Heiman smart plugs are too.

But as yet, I have neither the hub or plug, just considering.

Was interested in the post about cheaper ST compatible plugs as I ended up swooping for the ST hub + sensors ( I should maybe have heeded your adivce though as the sensors aren't much use, trying to sell my moisture sensor and presence sensor which I have not and will not use)

But at least you scooped up cheap Xiaomi Zigbee sensors and now have a flexible hub. The fact that Foniacs are now selling 2 zwave devices (door oos just now) and a dongle is only a good thing, some other ebay seller may follow up.
The Heiman webpage lists a few devices, and they are listed on the Zwave Alliance spec pages as being 100% compatible, ie no closed protocols.
Just got 2 and set up with Fibaro, works well. Only just got them so not a long term test but does work with Fibaro.
Confirm that HomeSeer picked them up very quickly using the ZME stick - quicker than the Aeotec Smart Switch
These work fine with Domoticz. Power reporting seems reliable.
How are these working for people? I put two into use and both are having issues. One stopped reporting power usage and I had to unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in again. The other has dropped off and can't communicate with it (it's in the garage so I'll try the plug out/in later).

Just spotted your question... After a while these stopped reporting in Domoticz, so had to enable polling option. After enabling polling they seem to be reliable.
