any one with any ideas how this compares to this hoover machine. assort from the hoover has a 1500 spin. ao.com/pro…spx
Out of practice regarding washing machines but ours started making a grinding noise tonight when you spin the drum by hand as if a button has come off something and is trapped somewhere.

How does this compare price wise?

Seems a great deal to me, by the way I've heard on the Stephen Nolan, Radio Ulster show that he was discussing the fact that a few families in N.I. had their Hoover Washing Machines explode on them. Perhaps best to avoid Hoover!
I have a Hoover 6kg 1600rpm. Bought it second hand 3 years ago. Works perfectly and hasn't let me down once. I recommend Hoover.

That's what I was suspecting. Working fine until tonight when the OH turned the drum to get the last of the smalls out and noticed the change in the sound.

I've owned the Zanussi brand washing machines for 8 years now. Last one didn't let me down, bought another last year and it's doing a perfect job. So no it's not a 'piece of trash'.

probably daydreaming with his negative

I've had my Zan for 8 yrs too, and still working as the day I bought it. However, I've had 3 kids since then and I could do with a bigger model as mine only takes 7kg. But yes, very reliable (touch wood)

I agree with you, in over 20 years I have had 3, the first I gave away to a fiend as I was moving to Spain and after over 8 years of use. She left it to her sons, she had used it everyday for over 3 years. My 2nd is still in use in my rental property and has had a new bearing fitted 3 years ago and my 3rd is going strong after more than 4 years. So I would strongly recommend Zanussi the appliance of science.
This looks like a good deal, same make 8kg but cost £219. Your text here

Sweet machine for the money.
Ok going to take a chance posting this as i have seen the hatred directed towards people for posting anything that is not the exact same price or make or size compared to the advertised product, but maybe it will help someone out there.

I have one of these in the 8kg size and have had it for the last 12 years, 3 kids and many many washes later and it still sounds as quiet as the day i purchased it. Touch wood we have not had any problems and are really happy with it, i don't know if this is the best price but it is the best i could find and is worth every penny just for the quietness and reliability compared to some of the other big name brands.
The direct drive units have no belt and as belts stretch with time are more economical, I had a indesit previously and when the belt started slipping during a wash it blew something and would have cost a lot to fix so i purchased this when i saw it, i paid over £300 for mine 12 years ago but believe it is one of the best purchases i have made and would spend the extra to get peace of mind when i to replace it
Same price as Curry's. Not hot
Hotpoint own Indesit.. Not hoover.

As with most washing machines there are a lot of dis-satisfied customer forums for LG direct drive washing machines.

Unless you are washing at midnight surely you'd be daft to turn down a good deal because of your neighbours?
