Just what I had been looking for, a quality washing machine to replace my old Zanussi & best of all they will dispose off my old one as well.............Hot
Cheap - but unfortunately Zanussi and quality don't belong in the same sentence.

If you want a budget machine with a reasonable chance of reliability it has to be BEKO. Not my opinion, read up the reviews of owners in the likes of Which? surveys.
Lg 9kg washing machine can be picked up for £350 after discounts and cashback which comes with 5 yr warranty plus a far better build.

Same here. This is our second Zanussi we've had for several years now.
Anyone looking for washing machine and not wanting zanussi, we got a Samsung 8 kg ecobubble one for £349 from argos last need. Brilliant machine and has 5 yrs warranty.
Zanussi, Electrolux, AEG, are all brands owned by Electrolux, they also make washing machines for John Lewis and Ikea. Having had an electrolux engineer round to fix a squeak on our JL machine, he stated that all of them have the same programmer, and insides (bar the drum, though the motor running it is the same). Where there are less buttons, basically the plastic on the fascia has not been cut out for you to have those functions. He suggested you buy from Ikea, as they are £1 more than the same machine in John Lewis, however come with a free 5 year parts and labour guarentee as opposed to John Lewis 3 years on own brand and 2 years on branded. Hope this makes sense.
Slightly off topic, why are washing machine measured by kg load?

Would make more sense if by volume?

I bought those folding crates that's 32L use them as laundry baskets, which coincidently loads my washing machine perfectly, don't have a clue if it weights 8 or 9kg.
I had 2 zanussi washers, never again, absolutely rubbish with one of the worst customer service, only gave a damn when I emailed the CEO directly about the rubbish service.
Customer service should not be required within at least the first 10 years after buying a washing machine.
It should operate with zero defects, as my Bosch has done for 12 years so far.
I bought this just two weeks ago from JL and sent it back and exchanged it for a slightly more expensive machine that I am very happy with.Very noisy and the washes take forever as there isn't a reasonable quick wash option.Pay a bit more and get a better machine.

Because it's too much weight that breaks them, not too much volume.

32L of some materials will be fine, 32L of bricks won't be.

The price has gone up to £279

I'm on my 3rd Zanussi, had this one 7 years problem free...until today, the heating element has gone. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy Zanussi again.
Had our zanussi since we got married, 16years ago!
Good price but which guide gives it 54%, it says mixed results - great at washing synthetics with low running costs however the spin is pretty poor.
