Has this actually been announced? Got really in to the first and put it down for some reason? Should pick it back up and continue.

It's been announced, but we're unlikely to see it this year
There's really no need to pre-order this early - it's very likely that there will be a better price before launch, and we don't even have a release date yet.

There's still an outside chance, I reckon, though if we see the various Mario (re-)releases come good, that might make it less necessary to Nintendo's line-up this year.

Maybe. I think it's the Zelda anniversary next year though, so my guess is there'll be remakes and new releases such as this.
Aren't they using the same world map? So wouldn't that save them a load of production time, surely Christmas would be ideal, unless this is the start of the zombie apocalypse!
Must be a Gold plated cartridge at that price

It's not just down to production time though, Nintendo have games finished and ready for release that might not even see the light of day this year. It's looking like Mario mainly this year ( there will be other franchises too ) including 3D World port and Galaxy. We may get Metroid Prime Trilogy. Nintendo time their releases as they please.
Waiting for pet part to be around £30 before I buy that. Is that wishful thinking?
What the hell?!? Part 2?!? Sheeeet! I better play part 1!

Be bloody lucky if we alsee any new releases this year...
Hype!
If you go for this expecting it anytime soon then you may as well pre order the vaccine to covid 19 while you're at it.
To be honest I doubt there will be a cheaper price on this for years. Put your pre-order down. You can always cancel it later if need be.
I'm assuming Base are good if you want to cancel an order. If they also only take payment on despatch then there's no harm in pre-ordering. Hope it's like that - can anyone confirm on cancelling and payment?
Just remember that you ordered so you don't double order from somewhere else later so stick a reminder note up or something!

This exactly, we know they've had Metroid Trilogy ready to release for a while but as said they plan out their release dates so to maximise sales from each title. We all know second half of the year is Mario, Mario, Mario, absolutely no chance this is out until end of 2021 earliest.
If this was out now, I'd be very happy to stay at home.
