Mine came from Shop-To today in a jiffy bag. Banged up and damaged, they can have it back.

Yep, just a thin bog-standard jiffy bag. The thing didn't stand a chance.
It's not badly damaged, but it's a £70 CE - I'm not sticking with it, they can have it back.

They were from Smyths toys only, from what I’m aware Shopto didn’t have a pre order bonus

Seems to be standard practice for Shopto.

They did that to me with a recent special edition order that wasn’t cheap. I complained and was told that Jiffy bags/ padded envelopes are all they have. Crazy!

I was also told that as there was only light damage (in their opinion!) to the item it would be classed as having arrived in ‘acceptable’ condition. As such, any return would be classed as ‘unwanted’. Presumably they do this to get out of refunding return postage costs (which could be expensive) and make returns awkward.

Won’t ever use them again for expensive items

I purchased the standard edition and it arrived today from Shop2 (in a jiffy bag)
But my pre order did include key ring and poster.

I got an e-mail about 2 days ago, saying that the key ring and poster would be sent seperately due to some error.

You're allowed, legally, to send anything bought over the internet back for a full refund anyway (though you'd have to pay the return postage).

For me, I'd have very little interest in their definition of whether something is in good condition or not. If it's not mint, it's not good enough for me and they can give me a full refund and pay for the return. There just isn't a circumstance coming where anything else is going to happen here.

Agree with this, if a shop argues about their lack of ability to deliver items undamged, this is where you would contact paypal or the bank to raise a dispute thorugh them.

Proof? Of what? It arriving bashed in a jiffy bag? Shop-To will be provided with it when they ask, but frankly I've got better things to do than start posting that on HUKD. As you can see in the comments, other Shop-To customers have also had theirs delivered in the same packaging.

That it's all banged up. Thinking of buying another one to stick on eBay but don't really want to list it if it's all damaged.

I'm not sure I follow. Are you thinking of ordering from Shop-To? Every other retailer seems to be sending it out properly.
Re- "proof it's banged up"... with respect I've got better things to do than pretend something is damaged, but I've also definitely got better things to do than prove anything to help someone else turn a profit on eBay...
Ah Okies. Well i'l enjoy my nice copy. ^-^ 38507733-tbWVb.jpg

Great. I have a new copy too, just waiting on a refund for my bashed one.
Congratulations though on your successful ownership of a game. Well done.

He only bought it to sell anyway... Shame they’re easily available, and in the process have made resellers resort to dropping their eBay prices to less than £85

Like seriously what is the point selling it for £85 on eBay after paying £65-£70 for a copy desperate springs to mind...
