.......for today's announcements. It's a good watch.

A new Luigi RPG game is announced for the 3DS and a downloadable upgrade for Mario Bros U for the Wii U that changes all the levels of the game into new 'Luigi levels'!

2013 is the year of Luigi, apparently.

Personally, I'm delighted that the best Zelda games from the past are available on my current handheld.

I hope Majora's Mask will be next.

Yes, they're in 3D.

1998 was the original release. It was re-released in 2003 for the Gamecube and again in 2007 for the Wii Virtual Console... and finally in 2011 for the 3DS. It's not quite 2 years, but it's a fair few re-releases.

This is not correct.

If you have a club Nintendo account (free to create one), you can transfer your purchases to another system (if yours breaks, etc) by contacting Nintendo customer support. So, in one sense, that makes downloads better than physical games.

Enhanced graphics, new menu system, Master Quest mirror mode, Boss Gauntlet challenge, new gyro aiming system, etc.

The core game is the same though.

skykid3

Ocarina of Time 3DS has had all the graphics upgraded (better textures, higher polygon models) and has a very smooth framerate (unlike the original) as well as the stereoscopic 3D mode. It also includes the Master Quest which wasn't in the original release. Having all the items on the touchscreen also vastly improves the experience as you no longer have to constantly pause the game to swap items back and forth (a godsend for certain dungeons).

It's a great upgrade.

It's 19.99 'bones'.

The RRP is actually 39.99 bones.

That's a ridiculous amount of money for a re-release, even if this time they have done a few upgrades. It's not just Zelda they keep releasing every other year either; Mario 64 has probably been re-released 5 times too. If they're going to re-release games, they should make them a reasonable price, i.e. 8.99 bones.

Ah yes, £20 for a game that cant be sold on, even though it goes for more used on eBay, and can only be used on one console (useless if you share games with friends/family members etc).

No thanks. But good price for those who are lazy/rich enough.

I think it's actually quite reasonable that they are selling this for bones rather than money.

maybe the cheapest deal for it atm,but I bought this game new last year for £17 and it's even been £15 before on most major game retailers..(physical game not digital download nonsense)..I'm sure if you wait you can get it for £14-£15 new soon..
but the game is throughly re-designed and graphics looks so much better than the n64/gcn original.sounds much better too.

You see how us gaming nerds from 1980-1990's still buy them???

Just finished this, for the third time since its original release and loved it. If you don't want to play it again, that's fine but there's obviously a market for it.

im hoping majoras mask and link to the past get rereleased again.

Windwaker re-make coming on Wii U. Just been playing my gamecube disc on the Wii.....absolutely fantastic game. Don't forget, if you have a 3DS you can also download Zelda DX....a classic wee Zelda game from times gone by.

I just wish it were possible to play Zelda: Minish Cap on my 3DS, loads of fun.

Let me just get that time machine I have stored away for such purposes
Not everyone had a 3ds last year, I only got mine in January. Also I seriously doubt it'll be £15 any time soon, Nintendo games(Zelda, Mario, etc) tend to keep their value much better/longer.

Who really pays the £40 RRP for games? Unless you buy them on release date and don't compare prices before you buy something for the best price. I have never paid more than £24.99 for a DS or 3DS game though, even on release day.

I would say Ocarina of Time is seen as the most popular Zelda title, so why should it not be re-sold - especially when it has enhanced graphics and 3D. If I remember correctly, when it was re-released on Gamecube it was bundled with Wind Waker so it was seen as an extra.

Sony does the same with its older titles too, so there is obviously a market for remakes and replaying older games. I don't quite see the problem with selling enhanced versions of older games for new generations to play, or for those who missed out the first time they were released. Also, Mario 64 has been re-released as a player's choice version (which both Sony and Microsoft do), as an enhanced remake that was released in 2004 for the DS and on the Virtual Console - not the 5 times you thought, so again I do not see the problem there.

Nintendo doesn't re-release or remake the same games every 2 years at all - if anything, they take their older series and turn them into something new/enhanced instead of doing the easy thing and making direct ports. You are over-exaggerating how many remakes they release. Sometimes it does help researching your point before commenting

Yes. £15 at Blockbuster (at the stores that are closing)

Deal was posted for £10 at Morrison's a couple of months ago but no idea on how they're pricing 3DS games now.

Yep because if your system breaks your physical copy doesn't work with your new machine.. oh wait.. It does..

Don't get me wrong I love digital downloads. I have over 150 games on steam but physical for 3DS is the way to go 90% of the time as most are 39.99 but this is a great deal unless somebody hacks your account then you lose your game. If somebody hacks your account and you have a physical copy you lose NOTHING.

Best game of all time . by a mile

I have minish cap on mine, did you not get the free 20 gba/nes game promotion ?

It is also only £14.50 in asda and has been the last few weeks i've been going in so likely still will be and it is a national price.

It's currently the best price versus the online market for new copies, but don't count out in store offers like Tesco, Asda, or the mysterious Morrison's everyone seems to find amazing deals at.

Plus, there's ebay.

Anyway, heat added. Not a bad price, classic game, double reward stars and you can take it anywhere.

Not every store has is, my sure as hell doesn't(they don't have the game).
And with asdas game pricing(not sure about DVD/blue rays), guy I spoke to (when looking at the ssfiv 3ds which on here was posted for £5 but my store had £12) said price can vary from store to store and are dependent on stock(i.e if a store has lots they'll reduce the price).
