Massive deal from Which? magazine recommended Broadband provider Zen Internet in partnership with The Big Deal

Choice of three totally unlimited Broadband packages from just £23 per month including phone line rental. Perfect for those who want quality service but don't want to break the bank!!

Here are a few more reasons this is a total bargain:

  • First-class customer support - Zen is rated top broadband provider by consumer heavyweights Which? and PC Pro magazine.
  • Unrestricted broadband - no limits on downloads, traffic or speed, even at peak times.
  • Fixed prices GUARANTEED - no price hikes mid-way through your contract (a favourite trick of other broadband companies).
  • The Zen speed guarantee, so if you don’t get up to the estimated speeds promised, then you can leave your contract without further ado.
  • FREE FRITZ!Box router - non of that own label rubbish you get from other providers

Offer ends 22nd August!

But Plusnet are rubbish and their price goes up massively after 12 months.

It's a great deal if you want quality at a great price!

I've had my Zen acount for 15 years and never a better ISP for reliability. I have had one outage in that 15 years due to an issue at a BT Exchange caused by BT upgrading its capacity. Yes, one outage, how many can say that of an ISP?
Great deal! Lots of my friends rave about zen. These prices are awesome so I've just signed up.Get it at Zen big deal offer

How is this good? Serious question?

Im with Sky and get unlimited broadband and line rental for 12.99 p/m after i haggle ever year?

Also....
  • First-class customer support - Zen is rated top broadband provider by consumer heavyweights Which? and PC Pro magazine. - HAVE NEVER HAD TO CALL SKY SO THIS SEEMS IRRELEVANT.

  • Unrestricted broadband - no limits on downloads, traffic or speed, even at peak times. AS MOST DO NOW.

  • Fixed prices GUARANTEED - no price hikes mid-way through your contract (a favourite trick of other broadband companies). - AS ABOVE - HAGGLE EVERY YEAR KEEPS PRICE DOWN.

  • The Zen speed guarantee, so if you don’t get up to the estimated speeds promised, then you can leave your contract without further ado. - EVERYONE HAS TO OFFER THIS AS PER OFCOM RULES

  • FREE FRITZ!Box router - non of that own label rubbish you get from other providers - FAIR POINT BUT NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE ME PAY DOUBLE PER MONTH??

Genuinely never heard of them and happy to be informed why they are so good.

Never heard of them before so I am a bit surprised someone mentioning they have been using Zen for 15 years.

Not a bad price for what it is but you can get a better deal from the big guns by haggling when you are up for renewal.\

Voted hot though.
Let's not forget to mention the £35 setup fee for fibre (FTTC).
I've been with Zen (FTTC) for a couple of years. Moved there from Eclipse (where I'd been for 12 years). Zen just works and I've never had any issues at all. Even the free router has turned out to be a belter. In terms of comparison, I am frequently called upon by friends and family to help resolve their connection issues with Sky, Virgin, Plusnet and TalkTalk. Personally, I think Zen's premium price is worth every penny. This offer is a real bargain.
We as a company have been with Zen for years 10 plus - never had the internet problems that we get when we call some customers like slow speed or it's gone down

Personally i would have loved to have gone with them lastime my contract was up but i never did as they seemed like 10 odd quid more a month

But with the offer it's basically a no brainier - there is no reason to look elsewhere - i know as myself i do customer support for software and we have a premium above our competitors - but people come to us and say for years like some are 15+ because they love the support and can't get from other competitors

So i think it does make a difference yeah you may never use but when you do you want the best help and quick resolution then you forget about the issue if it's not resolved corrcetly but is eventually thats when you get bad rep

You may like Sky but I've just left them as they are so awful.
If you haven't had to use Customer "Services" you have been lucky. My phone line went dead recently and I had to spend an hour on the phone to an idiot in an Indian call centre just to get them to report the fault. It took them 2 weeks to get Openreach to fix the fault. I spent hours on the phone calling them and paying for it as they don't have an 0800 number.
My bill went up by over 100% in the last year and when I tried to haggle, the person I spoke to couldn't care less. They wanted to charge me more for broadband than I'm paying Plusnet for unlimited firbre. As for not putting up the price during the contract, they put my price up by 25% only 3 months into the contract.

Sane here with sky. No Internet for 10 days and openreach were awful. Just received my £6 for loss of service. Yippee!

Says it's just for members but you only need an email address to join the big deal and takes 2 seconds @ thebigdeal.com

I registered then placed my order with Zen, had no problems at all.

Zen rarely do offers, and I don't recall ever seeing cashback. The prices are pretty obvious if you click on the link and punch in your details; they're all 24 month contracts, whereas their standard pricing is usually for 12 month contracts. So yes this offer is considerably cheaper, but your contract term is double the standard 12 months (not an issue for most people I'd imagine).
Big deal 1: Up to 38Mbps down / 9.5Mbps up, £33/month, £35 set up fee so you'll pay £68 to start with (set up + first month).
Big deal 2: Up to 76Mbps down / 19Mbps up, £36/month, £35 set up fee so you'll pay £71 to start with (set up + first month).
Big Deal Broadband (standard ADSL): Up to 17Mbps down / 1Mbps up, £23/month, free set up so you'll pay £23 to start with.

You get a free router (FRITZ!Box 3490) with any of the above which is a pretty darn good router, in my opinion better than pretty much anything that other providers give with their connections. Some of the benefits:
- dual wireless AC+N (simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz operation)
- up to 1300Mbit/s 802.11ac (5GHz), up to 450Mbit/s 802.11n (2.4GHz); this is the same kind of speed of the TPLink AC1750, but wireless quality etc might differ between the two
- it'll act as a Virtual NAS, I think you just need to plug a USB storage device into it

£23 /month for Broadband the price includes Line Rental and a wifi router. Price is guaranteed for 24 months and they said they had no plans to increase it after that. Zen said they couldn't offer any further discounts and that this was their best ever offer. If I was you I'd just place your order online as it's easier than calling up.
I was going to sign up with them tonight anyway as my current BT offer finishes in a few days.... So this is a big fat bonus - Ordered. I tried to setup a VPN with BT and it was an absolute pain..... You seem to be forced to uses their DNS system if you like it or not
Very surprised to see Zen in one of these deals - excellent Customer Service. ** Ends today. ** Always worth comparing deals though. e.g.

First time I've heard of Zen doing this sort of offer, maybe times are hard.

I was with Zen until about 6 months ago when I was lured away by one of the BT deals.
Customer Service was on the whole good, but not excellent... I found the Live Chat option was never available and support was limited to office hours and Saturday morning only... I think it's since improved. The major advantage is that you speak to someone who has English as a first language and who clearly knows what they're talking about.
They upped the price and changed conditions on my phone package which irritated me a little so I ended up having to switch to a different package.
Billing support was frustratingly office hours only. When I left, they clearly mucked up the final bill as they sent me an email asking why I hadn't paid them a couple of quid I apparently owed... I replied saying I assumed it had all come out of the direct debit (which was still active). I paid and complained about their handling of it and didn't hear anything back until a month later when I chased it up.

So yes, a pretty good reliable broadband and phone service and reasonable customer service, but at a price.
I wouldn't rule out going back to them when the BT deal comes to an end, but it will depend on the price at the time.
Thanks for the post. The link still appears to be live as I’ve just signed up for it. Fingers crossed this price is honoured.
