Great price for this visual novel bundle. One of my favourite game series full of mystery and twists. Hope it helps someone out.

Straight up best games of all time, especially 999. It does stuff no other game has ever done, and only games can do.

Is there any actual gameplay in it or just reading?

There is a lot of reading but theres also quite a bit of gameplay, essentially in between the reading sections, the characters will have to escape rooms and you go around solving puzzles in the rooms to escape. During the reading sections as well you make decisions which will get you the various different endings in the game.
Very nice. Holding out for vita deal though

Yeah - I really want this on Vita too - glad it finally arrived last month - but for £44.99?? Pffft they can blow off...
Love this series of games - played 999 after seeing a review on YouTube a good while back (small youtuber too) - liked what I heard about it and tried it out on the ds - loved the game and went ahead and got all of the endings (which is kind of necessary with these games - made easier in vlr and ztd with the flow chart - not sure whether this version introduced one for 999 too) - also loved virtues last reward on the vita - zero time dilemma was a bit weaker than the first two but still glad we got it - hopefully some more people get into the series

You know in this version they added a flow chart to 999 so its the perfect version of the game. Plus they added English and Japanese voice acting to both 999 and VLR.

i mentioned in the original comment that i thought they might have done that, but wasn't sure - i ended up using a spoiler free guide to get the different endings when i played it on the ds, so that i made the right choices to get the different endings - knew about the voice acting thing though - admittedly though, despite owning this digitally and physically i haven't replayed any of the zero escape series after completing them the first time around

i had a virtue's last reward save file wipe with only 2 secret files not found - really annoying as i wanted to just hop back in to get the platinum trophy

for vlr - the nonary games version would be the same one that i played (for the most part) as i imported the US version for the english VO stuff for the vita - makes a big difference for such a text heavy game and the voice acting in virtue's last reward was good anyways
I thought the first two were great - last game was terrible though. A mix of not being able to fast-skip text, cutscenes being slow, animations being off... mind you, that was the 3DS version. Heat for the first two at the price!

Yeah I didn't hate the last one but i do see your point especially if you played it on the 3ds. I think the steam version was the best version of the final game in terms of the animations and that. I think the cutscenes were skippable if you already viewed them as well. But the story for the last one wasn't as strong i admit but i still enjoyed it.
