Been looking for one of these for a while...and I got a camelcamel price drop on this one as the lowest price it's been. Not a expert and would welcome any views on this
Oh and make sure you select amazon as the seller as the other one is £109.00.

Looks good but the Android App gets terrible reviews and no mention of the P30 Pro being supported in the blurb so for that reason I'm out.

That's ok . ..I'm still undecided myself. So kind of thought this being cheap, I'd post and maybe get a few opinions of others
It’s one-third of the way to the price of a go pro that won’t need a gimbal and will give far better video quality. Just a thought! didn’t know these existed for phones

That's what I'm looking for...my phone but I'm new to all this Gimbal stuff
I had one and used it once to do shoot a few small clips. Used on a Mate 10 Pro, found that it would judder a little bit with the video and often loose connection which would then result in having to reset, taking around 30 secs each time. if the software has been updated and confirmed working with your device then good price

shameless plug for the video here
I'd spend a little more and go for the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 at £99 (or with the case and tripod base for £119), it's far more portable as it folds in half for storage when not in use. I had the older Osmo Mobile 2 and while it worked well but the large size meant I could only really carry it with me when I was definitely going to use it whereas with the mobile 3 it's small enough to carry around with me all the time. The DJI software has a better reputation for working with phones whereas the Zhiyun's seem a bit hit and miss, I have one of their action camera gimbals which works well but then I don't need to connect to a phone with it.

An action camera is a different devices, I find them great for POV footage such as on the bike or similar but while their software stabilisation is good it's not as good as a gimbal (despite what the manufacturers claim) and the a decent gimbal gives you more advanced features such as automatic tracking. It's a better design to hold whereas action cameras are designed to be mounted, there's also the advantage that with the footage recorded on your phone you can easily edit and upload it without needing to transfer it anywhere first.

Not a bad video...would a smart phone working with this get anywhere near to that?

Yeah it's the app thing that is holding me back...but I do like the features on this. Did you look at the reviewers video at the bottom of this? I was well impressed with that.

all done in imovie. never used it myself so it was a learning curve. more experienced video people will frown at imovie, but it did what I wanted. i also used Keynote for the text that comes in and out etc.

Cheers I'll look into them
What's the difference between this gimbal and the one posted in this deal here?

hotukdeals.com/dea…571

If it's the same gimbal, it looks like it's still cheaper at eglobal central.

Edited: as I forgot the link when I posted the first time.

I maybe wrong but I think it's the newer version.
Looked about and found a refurbished one on ebay for £49.99. I'll come back and report on it when it comes
Can anyone give me a tip on where to get a light and microphone kit to fit this?

I was gonna say the same thing. Or, simply get an iphone which has ‘almost’ as good video stabilisation as gopro.

I own a hero black 7 and an iphone xs
For those thinking if it's worth it. It is. I recently upgraded to this one from the Zhiyun smooth Q. They're excellent if you can get past the somewhat limitation of the app. Filmic Pro app paired with this gimbal is great. From experience, smaller screen phones work much better though. Above all, even when you shoot home movies with it it's great. Try it.
Wow just heard on the news that jessops is calling in the administrators...might be some bargain to be had

I got mine today and I've had a little play with it and it seems pretty amazing with the tracking and the vertigo effects....more then happy
I'll give it heat, because it's a good price. However, I have returned one of them, since it started getting buggy, to the point where it could no longer work out which way was up etc - no amount of factory resets and basic calibration would fix it.

An annoying aspect of this device for me is if you use the standby feature if refuses to go back to it's original state, and assumes you want portrait. That's the whole point of standby - to pause and resume quickly. Restarting it doesn't take 10 seconds, but if you're trying to conserve battery when you have a full day ahead of you it's not ideal.

As the other reviews say, the recommended app is as you'd expect; not a good UI, a GUI that changes drastically depending on the 'skill level' you select (Basic, Advanced, Pro), and bad English translations.

When it works, it does a stellar job, but it could really do with polishing.
