It's a grey area, after all what self respecting council is going to expect an 8 year old to ride in the road on an electric scooter.

Surely illegal on the road but also illegal on the pavement unless it is a private road.

The joys little chav children zipping up and down the pavements on these things causing havoc it's bad enough with the benidorm oap scooters never-mind these accidents waiting to happen!! Well done argos NOT!!

What a miserable git you are

Your childhood must have revolved around getting dressed up as a girl and playing in wendy house's I suppose

These are sub-£70 all day long on the famous auction site.

Kinda irrelevant given the amount of idiot cyclists who use them.

So tempted, something I would use for a few days then not again.

Still heated!

Heat added. Looks like a fun gift for the kids. I've yet to see one in action but it can't be very fast can it? Can't have much of a range either? Wouldn't it become just a fairly unwieldy normal scooter when the battery runs out? At least it has a small footprint so will not take up much pavement.

IMO mobility scooters should not be able to go faster than walking speed (3-4mph). They take up a lot of room and it's disconcerting finding one on your heels. I walk fairly quickly but seem to have to get out of the way of mobility scooters buzzing about at surprising (unsuitable) speeds for the pavement. Are they being customised or something a-la pimp my ride? How long before a pedestrian is crippled by being run over by a mobility scooter...thus needing their own mobility scooter....ooooooohhhh, I see their cunning plan!

better for less from ebay.
