If you're familiar with the iconic Zippo Lighter, there's every chance you spend a lot of your time standing in pub doorways in the cold, shivering while you suck up that precious nicotine nectar (the temptation to simply write 'nicotinectar' there was very strong). Well, your friends at Zippo have come up with an ingenious way to keep your hands warm at such times, and any other time you might feel a bit nippy. This Zippo Hand Warmer runs on standard lighter fluid, is triggered by lighting it and will retain warmth for up to 12 hours.

Perfect if you're out in the cold, but just as useful for skiing holidays and any Arctic expeditions you might be planning, it'll give you toasty warm hands (or toasty warm… wherever you decide to put it). Once you've set it going, you can pop it inside the protective bag and feel that cosy warmth radiate throughout your body… mmm. Overall, it's darned useful, a design icon and much healthier than actually taking up smoking. A winter style icon.

Features:
•A hand warmer in the shape of an iconic Zippo lighter.
•Provides up to 12 hours of heat to keep your hands warm.
•Directions for use: fill with lighter fluid, ignite, slip hand warmer into protective bag and enjoy heat.
•Features a catalytic burner to prolong the heat.
•Catalytic burner typically lasts for 70-80 uses.
•Suitable for ages 18 years +.

Fantastic price.
Great gift, don't forget quidco!
These are great.
As you say, fantastic price. I paid about £17 for mine last year and it was worth every penny.
brought one last week has been great has even lasted 24 hours on a full fill!
also these are cheaper than ebay
was going to get another one from Amazon at £14.95

just ordered
ordered cheers
Ordered - many thanks! Does anyone know of the best deal on lighter fluid for this item?
These are really good. Get really hot and stay warm for ages.
Buy the ordinary lighter fluid from your local supermarket. No need to buy Zippo fuel. I have two of these. Used them last year and waiting for weather to get really cold so that I could use them this year. Excellent product. Heat added!

Very good price! Got one last year, cheapest we could find then was £20 - checked everywhere.
Thanks OP, ordered & heated
Remember to take it out of your pocket when filling your car with petrol!

I find mine quite difficult to light, and it's difficult to extinguish until the lighter fluid runs out, but apart from that it does get very hot and lasts for ages.

Good price!
Ordered- thanks!
Thanks OP this should keep we warm at work
Does it cost alot to keep buying lighter fluid to use these?

For lighting, make sure you're heating with the tip of a flame (the hottest part).
For extinguishing, pull the lid off, get a pair of pliers and pull off the burner. Put the burner on a non-combustible surface. Both the fuel chamber and the burner will cool very quickly. Once cold you can try placing the complete unit it a sealed plastic bag to help prevent the fuel evaporating.

Damn it out of stock....

Not exactly easy to use on the move then? I've often wondered about trying one of these but that sounds like way too much hassle.

Decent coat, gloves and hat it is for me then.

Buy some when you land?
Good deal but for skiing I much prefer the type that come as small bags with the "shake to activate" chemical fillings - mainly as I can pop them inside my gloves!
Not as good of a deal but if you want one as a Christmas gift then “FindMeAGift” has them for £12.99 with Quidco at 13%. Delivery was £2.95 for me when ordering two. As good as I could find after seeing these out of stock.

Top tip, but you don't need pliers to remove the burner. You can use the metal lid.

Pull off the metal lid part, place the body on a kitchen (heat resistant) surface and use the metal lid to pop the burner off.

These are awesome things and £1 per tin of lighter fluid from the pound shop keeps them running for ages!
