This is great camera with reasonable price. It should get more heat.

Maybe it's the retailer?
I've been watching several options then today this one dropped by almost 15% and I thought it was a deal
Quickly googled for a coupon code and got it for £37.95

The app. here states you can either watch live or record to the device it's installed on.

No, it has Wifi built-in. You do however need to connect it to a power source. Best method is to install on or near the soffits and connect via the loft. Setup a Rasberry Pi with hard drive to cycle record.

your talking a different language with rasberry pi. could I not record on a PC ? unless your going to tell me its easier and cheaper with the rasberry pi
Great find!

Was looking at this on Amazon yesterday and it was £67.99. They've now changed the listing (since yesterday) to the newer model. Not sure of the differences but the 89 reviews refer to this model - mostly very positive.

I used the above code as well as Zmodo$10 and got it for £33.64 delivered - paid with Paypal
motion detection alerts is a good feature....
Haha this has gone colder than it was when I made my earlier post saying that I got it for £33 with code Zmodo$10 oO

For those voting cold, please post a link to a cheaper 720p wireless Outdoor camera with capabilities to record to an external source that has decent reviews...

Any suggestions for an image for the pi that will record with motion detect?

You don't have to go that route unless you know or want to spend time learning. I've got a nas but if I didn't use that and didn't want to leave a pc on 24/7 I'd go for one of those £30ish android smart tv boxes or a cheap tablet.
Got it for £33.64 as Andy JC stated, got to be worth a go at that price! You can learn a lot from this camera & if your happy you could upgrade to better kit later. I bought a cheap kit with hard drive & 2 basic cameras from Tesco in their sale a couple of years ago £25 which has worked but is very basic but I learnt a lot from it. Must admit tho reading the reviews for the app sounds like it could be tricky to get working!
Great deal and great camera. I have three of these. You can use meshare app on phone and genius vision on Pc for recording. Zmodo support is al really helpful.
Anybody got these working with a nas such as qnap/synology? Internet suggests they're not very compatible despite supporting ONVIF

From what I've read it seems it's possible or at least it is with synology. I'm hoping so as I plan to use it as a 2nd cam on my setup. I understand you get a licence for 2 cams included with synology disc station.
A quick Google suggests it works with synology, there is another link in the link. Took a punt and ordered for £33.64. Had to use the laptop as mobile wouldn't let me enter the code. synology and zmodo
synology website be interested to know if anyone has had success setting this up on synology.
OP;
As the code Zmodo$10 seems to be working well, maybe you might want to include it in your post & amend the price to £33.64?

I'm going to ask if they have it with an EU adapter and change the plug (or get one of these) when it arrives. If they don't, 5 days isn't long to wait providing they do actually come back in stock when stated oO

Same here - think they need a better or implement a live stock management system
This won't look good for certain customers.
Just spoken with adviser over web chat and she's changed mine for the EU version - they had 3 in stock (2 now). Apparently dispatched within 24hrs.

We'll see.........
Did it get dispatched?

Just received another email saying no stock for a week, might pull the plug on this one.

Indeed it did, have tracking details and everything

I also noticed that you can still buy this model from Amazon for £59.99 making this a pretty damn good deal IMO

I got an email stating it will be back in stock 16th November and asking what I want to be done with my order. Of course I asked for it to be delivered when in stock. I haven't checked by order status just yet but will post later when I have time to check.
They're still showing stock of the version with Australian adapter. Voltage in Oz is 240, same as here. If you have an online chat with an advisor they should change the order for you (as they did with me). You then only have to lob the plug off and fit a UK one.
Just a quick update on this one;

Camera arrived yesterday. Packaged well and feels well made. After initially connecting with a CAT5 cable it's now mounted to the side of the house and connected over wifi. I purchased a 10m CCTV 5mm extension cable from eBay for £3 and a waterproof box from Screwfix for a couple pounds to house the CAT5 output and jack connector.
Works well with the Zmodo software but, more importantly for me, it also works with Synology DS. For anyone wanting to use with Disk Station you need to connect over port 10080 using the generic ONVIF settings.

All in all I'm very happy with the setup and to get this camera for £33 is a steal.

Thanks philphil61 (_;)

Why would you need 10mtr CAT5 if it's wireless? I understand the waterproof box for power
I wrote "10m CCTV 5mm" not CAT5 - it is for power (_;)

Like THIS - it's actually 5.5mm not 5mm

Great news, hopefully it will work just as well with qnap.

With that power cable, what size inner pin do you need?

2.1mm - I believe 2.5mm is the older standard

I misread the comment
Basically the connections are short (and dangling) from camera. Andy JC purchased a waterproof box to protect them and an extension power cable - I misread the extension as being CAT5

Correct. You do need a CAT5 cable initially to connect the camera to your network but you can then connect wirelessly.
