£6.99 with code PICKME from their eBay store, bargain! For some reason it works on Scarface and SPR but not on the Gladiator. Remember to make individual orders or it will take off 3£ only once and not for each BR.

Anyone who quotes real v fake 4k as an indicator of picture quality is an idiot.

Let's take a look at what a professional review of Bumblebee says...

"boasting several welcomed, stylish enhancements over the Blu-ray model, making it the better way for enjoying this high-octane ride... the end result isn't all that much sharper than the HD version. However, the upscaled transfer rolls fresh off the digital assembly line with cleaner and better-defined lines along the vehicles, exposing the tiniest rust spot, rivet, and flaw in the interior of the Bug... Overall, it's an impressive, mesmerizing display, making this the preferred way to enjoy the movie. (Video Rating: 92/100)"

scarface is def worth having in your collection.
Got them all already but fantastic prices!
Noticed this myself but wont allow me to proceed to order, will try again after midnight..
Went for Bumblebee. I've seen Scarface has a great transfer, but considering I haven't watched my bluray copy of it in the 6 years I've owned it, hard to justify a 4K copy
Ordered via phone, also bumblebee (for obvious reasons). Tempted by Gladiator but unsure how much better the 4k remaster will look

Bluray.com say its a modest upgrade in detail but HDR gives it a decent boost, avsforum say pretty much the same. One of my favourite films, but again, I've had it on bluray and haven't watched it in years. Trying to limit my 4K purchases to films I don't already own

You ordered Bumblebee and you're worried how Gladiator will look?

Doesn't necessarily mean one is better than the other. I've seen "fake" 4K transfers that look better than Real ones. Yes, generally Real 4K images will look better, but not 100% of the time.
These look to be the same price from zoom eBay if it’s any easier for some1

Gladiator is highly recommended by high-def digest. They're very positive about the picture quality upgrade.

Private Ryan a good transfer and does it have Atmos?

Yes and yes
Honestly unless you sitting close enough there is not that much difference. I've bought few 4k discs but imho not really worth it if you already own the bluray version. That being said if you love the film and don't own the bluray £9.99 isn't end of the world for the best version.

I was interested in picking it up (as I only have it on DVD) and they said while it's good it's inferior to the US release as they've done some slightly weird things regarding all the subtitles being machine generated. I find those weirdly distracting, remember when they did it with the original DVD release of The Terminator and it drove me nuts.

The existence of HDR makes it automatically better than the Blu-ray.
Ryan has some pretty horrible colour macroblocking issues (in both iTunes and disc form) if they're something you're liable to notice. On the other hand, the grain reproduction knocks the Blu-ray for six.

Gladiator is mostly a big improvement, but there are a couple of scenes that are mysteriously soft. Not that it's necessarily against intent. Obviously the digital effects long predate 4k pipelines if you're actually going to play that "real/fake 4k" game.
Can someone post a link to the articles on zoom ebay shop? I can't find them
I have Scarface in 4K on iTunes and was absolutely gutted watching the intro as it was terrible quality, but then pleasantly surprised once the movie started - I was completely forgetting that the intro was using old TV news broadcasts which were never going to upscale well!
