T2 was not a patch on the first. That kid was awful.

Why don't you learn to read properly before you start getting so aggressive? He just said Jaws 2 is decent (and I agree), not that Jaws 2 is better than the original...

Aliens also.

T2 with that annoying, obnoxious kid?

Jaws was fantastic, but I’m in the “not a fan” camp on these.

Mine arrived too - what awful packaging (skeptical) I have the same problem with scratched discs and the cardboard holders are all ripped - really disappointed (flirt)

Not on netflix but it's on Amazon Prime if you want to pay £90 for the entire series. (shock) Just got mine today and not happy, 9 out of the 13 disks are scratched and 3 or 4 quite heavily to the point they'll probably not play properly in a DVD player. (annoyed)

.... and in the O lympic size swimming pool we have who can hold their head under the water without drowning competition...

Wonders if on Netflix or amazon prime.... I told myself am not buying any more dvds. Wow amazon wants £10 a session to own a virtual copy. Trying to cut down plastic waste what a joke.

Aaah so easy to get into this gentle family comedy, a lot of todays comedy is not remotely funny even when they resort to swearing and rudeness to make pointless storylines

Using code SIGNUP10 you can pre-order this for £18.00. HMV and Amazon have this listed for £24.99 on their sites.

If you had to vote hot because something is the cheapest then this site would be pointless. I think it's you who doesn't know how to use the site, no need to bother!

Cheapest price doesnt mean its a hot deal. Price comparison websites are to find the cheapest price.

... I don't think people know how to use this site. This is a pre-order, and the cheapest place to currently get the item. You're not voting on whether you like the film or not. Don't know why I bother!

Battlestar Galactica 1980 : The Complete Series DVD set £3 @ Zoom
Found 6th SepFound 6th Sep
I don't think this was considered to be that great but for BG completists, it's pretty cheap.
Get dealGet deal

Ewww! Galactica 1980 is a very low budget spin-off from the original series. I don't think it should be considered a 'final season' of Battlestar Galactica as the production values were significantly lower for this show. The only episode worth seeing is the very last one 'Starbuck'...worth £3 just for that episode. Heat added! :)

I totally agree. Given the Start Wars nonsense was still current this was a breath of fresh air at the time. "By your command"

Don’t forget SIGNUP10 for 10% off.

Galactic 80 - what an absolute piece of s—t and I’m a huge Battlestar fan (old and new series). Save your £3 or park your brain before inserting DVD into the player.

What he said.

Sold out so ordered from HMV for £9.99 instead.

"Such heroic nonsense." (Boom!)@ Ironhide's head

Ready for a bit of the old ultra-violets...

One disc is widescreen, the other 4:3. The widescreen version is uncut, at any rate. Haven't watched the 4:3 (but I believe it's an "open matte" presentation, with a bit more information top and bottom). Blu ray looks fantastic. This was a no-brainer at £13, and certainly should be at £9. :) Oh, I don't think it's an Ultraviolet digital copy btw; I redeemed mine with iTunes.

Pathetic fools! There’s no escape! (from this deal) :)

I guess I just didn't expect Blu Rays to be reduced to DVD status so quickly! It's a terribly underhanded way to force people to start migrating to 4K. But I suppose that's the march of progress!

well I got it from WH Smith for £2.34 and also have no proof and no link to the deal I posted recently

£9 Pfft. Got it in Tesco's recently reduced for a fiver. :D Can't go wrong for £1 per film. :D

They’re all at it unfortunately. Universal did it with the Jurassic Park films. Totally agree with you about it being a disservice. The remaster is there at the end of the day so they should rerelease it on normal blu ray too but I imagine it’s their way to add another reason to get people to rebuy them yet again in 4K. Had the new film not been coming out, I imagine they would have used the same blu ray masters on the 4K releases too but didn’t want the bad PR just before the new movie.

Thanks Biddy2. Such a damn shame that Paramount have done such a disservice to Blu Ray buyers. Really disappointing... (mad)

When I watch these old programs it reminds me of how old I am, so I don't watch them.

Actually this is a good deal but I'm going to pass, waiting for the 4K Remastered version so I can see that title credit sausage pop off the fork in ultra high definition.

I've been getting through S1 and S2 when I get a free 20 minutes. The outside scenes are great for what are now classic cars! Couple of scenes in the boys changing rooms. Teachers hitting pupils and teachers having lunchtime road trips with pupils. Smoking and bullying. Did me no harm when I watch it originally. It's rated PG so i guess it's OK if unedited. I'm mid way S2 and the bring and buy sale raised a whooping £5! And Trisha Yates is da boss. You don't mess with her!

Edited, in what way? Or do you mean words/scenes censored?

The one where they have a fight with another school is a classic. LOL!

Correct. Galactica 1980 should be considered a different show. A super low budget continuation, but vastly inferior apart from that one episode finale featuring Starbuck. £4.10 from Zoom says here. Expected it to be cheaper than that, check your local charity shops maybe? Galactica 1980 was utter felgercarb! Barry Van Dyke went on from it to see off Airwolf in series 4...what other shows did he help kill off I wonder?

This is the best version. (y)

It looks like it doesn't include the 1980 episodes despite the word 'complete', I'm basing that on the episode list

If anybody missed the Zoom deal for this set it's down to £4.99 at Amazon (£7.98 for non Prime members)

Used to watch Dept. S and Jason King; he was a great character actor.

Really sad news, he was a brilliant actor. This was a great deal and would have voted hot if it hadn't expired. Not as good as 'Department S' but still worth a watch for Peter's wonderful performance as JK.

Bill Murray what a legend

Love this film. I’ve watched it over and over.

Depends on the quality of the original film stock, I think I read somewhere - might have been about the 1989 Predator that the quality of film used and the condition of where it may have been kept it, the recent 4K release is not a great upgrade to say the bluray. Some films may have more time spend on them that are masterpiece classics, Ben Hur, Gone with the Wind etc etc others, well most of 80s movies they were big action films with things being blown up, therefore the time and effort may not been put there to bring out a fantastic and spotless print.

Googled? I own about 140 4Ks, I know my shit :) And apologies, I did not mean to be rude :)

But you could say the same thing about virtually every studio movie made in the last 80 years. You must be waiting on everything being released on 4K blu ray then?
