1 and 2 brilliant. 3 killed the mood.

Bunnster

Good points, and had not considered the subtitles aspect, so thanks for the education. Well enjoy these I'd you get them. :D 🎬

timlampshire2005

I’m sure the demand has dropped and is dropping. I love physical media though, various reasons; not everything I want is or will always be streamable, I’m a collector, the picture and sound quality is often better and most importantly of all Mrs Lampshire2005 is hard of hearing and needs access to subtitles... Oh and as Matt says, the posty bringing me stuff never grows old

mattsmith251100

Thanks guys, appreciate it! Think this is the cheapest it's been, haven't seen them but know they're well liked and are in demand with some of my social group. I'm regards to demand for disc, I think it's still pretty high! I can't see myself switching to fully digital anytime soon. Always got to keep an eye out on the postman to see if something's been delivered! Do think Digital is becoming more mainstream though, I tend to stream quite a bit as well due to availability!

Bunnster

All these deals are great, these are interesting films; But I have stopped buying physical copies. Stream when I want to watch. Is there still big demand for discs? Heat added. Stay safe. Enjoy. :D 🎬

Good film but I couldn't help thinking how nice and quiet it all was. My peace and quiet would be assured if it was real. So for me, not much of a horror more a dream. Subjective I guess.

3D 4K TVs only existed for a very short while. They aren’t made anymore sadly, so I assume that’s what the previous comment is getting at!

Will look great on my 4K 3DTV. Oh wait, those don't exist.

Cheers. Bought Into Darkness + Beyond (both in 3D) for watching in VR. They're not very Star Trek, but they're entertaining enough if you switch your brain off.

They originally wanted Michael Jackson for Labyrinth.... I am happy a sequel is in the works, whilst the original is a cult hit I hope the sequel will bring more attention to the original. Also I'm sure the Henson's will pull it off, just look at the Dark Crystal series!

Never liked Deer Hunter. Apocalypse is a masterpiece. And so are Godfather 1 and 2 of course. Godfather 3 is underrated and still very good - that helicopter scene!

MrTibster

Yeah the 3rd ain’t anywhere near as bad as people say. It’s not the best by far, but I still really enjoyed it.

MrWang

Great movie no doubt. But if we’re dragging out Nam movies, let’s talk about Deer Hunter. Still. The godfather trilogy is untouchable.

Vcd is far superior! ;)

JimDiGriz

Its not! I have quite a lot of 4K discs and a lot of blu-rays. But dont take my word for the difference...all too obvious if you have the right equipment.

The_Guru

I put max settings on netflix. Lot of people aren't aware of it. Bluray is very close to 4k uhd discs. Only slightly better colors and minimal sharpness apart from hdr content of course. That's why I no longer bother with it. But at the moment that's the highest quality you can get so no other option. Dvd to bluray was huge jump. But this isn't in my opinion. 8k will be but God knows how long that will take. Maybe 2040!

JimDiGriz

15 if youre lucky then lol. Beaten easily by blurays never mind 4K discs. And thats without discussing audio of course..

The_Guru

At the moment streaming is terrible. 7.5 megabits max. But when normal it's just over 15mbps. For me it's clean enough (y) 🏻

The Orville has some cracking episodes. It's a weird blend sometimes but they can be spot on

Istanbul_Kop

He's getting his own series. It was announced the other week. Bad news is Spock is in it. Which is right canon wise, but wrong because the Discovery Spock is poor (in my opinion). But hopefully the series will be good, old Cullen Bohannen is an amazing Pike.

Martin_Cruse-Stoddart

Loved this. Pike is brilliant and needs his own series. The reimagined bridge of the Enterprise was perfect. However, I do not care for Michael!

PhilK

Too much handing it to NON-Trek fans who wanted to play agendas. The lead character was the worst in Trek history. And Picard was an embarrassment. Theres plenty of good writers out there who'd be delighted to dump three quarters of the characters in some black hole somewhere, and bring in new, good and interesting ones and actually make a Sci Fi show worth watching. I read they're actually losing money on these Star Trek messes, and thats no surprise - but continuing with the same "executives" and writers and actors who've caused it

spatter

Hard to slander in writing. Much easier to libel.

I love film, Tarantino is my favourite director, and Leo is probably my favourite actor, but this is definitely one of Tarantino’s worst. Not a bad film by any stretch but even he struggles to carry 3 hours with almost nothing but dialogue. Give your head a wobble mate.

Walrus_Man

This is a superb film. More Riddick please. 😁

drumboe

Possibly, hopefully the new Dune will be better than David Lynch's version. Not Lynch's fault as it is a difficult story to film, especially with the technical limitations at that time.

JimDiGriz

The visual design borrowed from Lynch's Dune a fair bit.
