it depends which way you look at it, E7500 is a much better processor 2.93ghz Core-2-duo, also you get windows 7 instead of no OS, besides hard drives and memory are cheap to upgrade anyhow.

Dont agree its a "much better processor"

scored 1974 in benchmarking and the E5400 scored 1717 so about 12% quicker. So with this deal you pay £110 more for a 12% faster processor, a £60 OS, 2GB less RAM and 250GB less HDD space.

W7HP is £77 OEM and a CPU is the hardest thing to upgrade (short of the whole mobo) but that £220 system is a great deal with the extra memory/HDD etc.

For a basic system I'd probably hit that £220 one but this is also a good deal
