Vista - COLD

Stupid response.

One can always install Linux...so hot just to redress the balance.

Little top heavy price wise, but for a ready to use/setup computer for study use, kids use, surfing and gaming its not a bad deal at all, Vista - cold ? why, once you get used to Vista there are no problems, (no more than there ever was was XP was launched, cast your mind back). Hot from me as its a good ready built system.

Great idea - pay for VIsta so you can overwrite it with something else.

Why not do it as an first installation on a machine that you never paid for an O/S.

Better still - applying your logic - why not you buy the PC - you keep the O/S - and give me the PC as its almost the same as you were advocating above.

Gosh - that sounds like a stupid response too!!!

No OS wasn't an option on this purchase was it?
Besides there are many people who would rather have the latest OS....Wether the OS is any good or not is a matter of opinion.

As someone who's used Windows Me in the past Vista isn't so bad

I suppose in Vistas favour - at least the never named it after an illness lime M E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis).

I'll stick with Ubuntu though, as its written by people who do it through respect.

God that sounded like Ali G!!!

You know, you can always install another operating system AS WELL. There's no need to wipe off any exisiting ones ;-)

Vista - COLD

Seems a reasonable viewpoint only if you can show some links to a cheaper PC with the same spec (without any OS).

I haven't searched, so maybe there are some out there, but pre-assembled this looks like a reasonable price.

Looks a good deal, cold voters can you point me in the direction of a similar spec machine cheaper as my friend is after one

I read a while ago about a guy in France who managed to sue the shop who sold him his computer, as they refused to sell it without windows.

It would be good to find if it was a local or European law that was applied as it would drop the cost of new PCs here - and broaden access too.

I still have W2KP on one machine and WM6 on my phone.

But to dual boot with Vista is like offering someone a beautiful meal or a pan of sh*t - then asking them if they would like to eat both. :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

My point was you voted this deal cold because it came with Vista pre-installed, yet you can install whatever the ... you like on it!
