what are people mining with this?
My French isn't great, but I think it's temporarily out of stock, 'Temporairement en rupture de stock". Good price if you're willing to wait, but any idea how long that wait would be?

Yeah, these are not bad, nice hash estimates monthly income at ~0.00876794 BTC
(86.92 GPB).

Hate miners, all they do is inflate GPU prices

Miners aren't the problem. Its investors piling money into the industry and meaning miners can buy GPU's safe in the knowledge that even though they may be barely breaking even they will profit due to cryptocurrencies inflating. It will all end eventually without tangible goods to back it up.

But how much will it cost to run the computer flat out for the month?

What GPU are you using and how many?

BTW, what's better for gaming/mining? AMD RX 570 or nVidia 1070

Depends on the cost of leccy, what other h/w you have and how efficiently you set it up. But I'd say about £20 to £30 per month.

a 1070 is miles better than a 570 for gaming, lol.

500W load, 24/7 for 30 days @ 15p kWh is £54 worst case v
This card probably 300W max in a descent machine. So £32 @ 15p a unit.

Less than you’d earn mining, hence current state if the GPU market.

If you just mine BitCoin, but plenty of coins are still profitable mining with GPU. Also, you can up earnings by mining Cryotonight algorithm on the CPU, if its decent one.

Yep, that’s what I was saying. You’d still make more than you’d spend on your electric bill if you’ve been mining the right coin.

Yes you were, I don't know how I misinterpreted that before. My bad

im getting roughly 25mh/s on my 6GB with upped memory clock on OC card and temp no higher than 60*C I bought the card for £270, surely thats well worth the diffeence between the 3GB and 6GB or is the gpu price really gone that ti*s up?
Edited by: "timidluke" 13th Jan
No idea why this went so cold.
I'm not in a rush so ordered it for £235.

This was the cheapest price I could find a 6Gb 1060.

And if I do find one cheaper before it comes in stock, I'll cancel this one.

Many thanks op

im in a tiny box room hardly bigger than a double bed, doesnt pose a threat to hearing what so ever.
fans at max 80%, temp now maxes at 55*C still getting 25mh/s and rest of build is watercooled on quiet mode 20*C
Shame the card isnt watercooled mind(highfive)
