What's the mini about. Is it worse than a regular size one?

Performance wise it's the same as regular 1070. The mini runs a bit hotter and hence has less overclocking potential. However, it will fit in smaller cases

Smaller form factor version of a fully sized GTX 1070.

This specific model has been known to run quite hot though.

Considering I bought my 1070 over 6 months ago for £320, and the 1070ti is due on the market soon... I don't think this is too hot. Depending on your mini-ITX case, the mini form factor isn't always needed - I have a full size 1070 in my Raven RV02 case which is just 10cm wide.

The problem with some smaller FF cards is that the heat dissipation is worse, leading to performance throttling - which makes for worse value for money.

1070 Ti is closer to 1080 perf (and matches in some cases) aswell.

At £419 for the cheapest you'd expect it to perform similar to a 1080. I paid a similar price for a 1080 MSI gaming Z.

It does perform similar to a 1080, at least from the benchmarks from several sources I have seen today.

Yeah I've seen it sits a few fps below in most games, I wasn't denying that. My point was there isn't really much in the price at the moment so you might as well get a 1080. They quite frequently rock up on here for 430ish. I'd pay 10 quid extra as the 1080 overclocks really well. The 1070ti is overpriced. Unless the 1080 price has been bumped to compensate.

Well, the MSRP is fair, but the real world pricing has been ****** for a long time. I can't see any 1080's close to 430 atm, and we can't take sale prices as 'fair' because well, there will be 1070 ti's that rock up for 30-50 quid less too, soon enough.
