Looks like it's the cheapest 1070 ti on Amazon. Seems good for the price

It's not a bad price, I voted hot but unless you absolutely have to get a graphics card right now then you really should wait, prices are dropping fast plus there's so much talk about new cards right around the corner...

I would second that, also talk of Ethereum mining moving to aisc which will kill demand for the cards and flood eBay and similar with used stock

Absolutely agree with you. My trusty GTX970 (literally) went bang a few weeks ago leaving me stranded on an integrated graphics solution.
You can wait indefinitely in the world of PC building due to the 'next best thing' being 'just around the corner', I feel that, for the first time in years, in this case we may genuinely see a dovetailing of global factors that just might, be the light at the end of the tunnel in regards to GPU pricing becoming more reasonable and sensible for folks like me.

(I can afford a £420 1070 Ti but it just isn't value for money as far as I'm concerned at the moment!)
Same price as a 1070ti reference from Nvidia.co.uk, which I would choose over a mini card.

No it wont, they will just move to another crypto-currency. Believe it or not, BTC & Eth are not the only coins around.
Unless the newer cards are a huge upgrade and at a reasonable price, which according to rumors, they are not, the 1070/1080 cards are still going to be in high demand.

Just have to wait till the summer and see what happens

Personaly, i dont think nVidia is rushing to introduce next gen, as there is no smallest reason to do it. Unless they actualy do, current prices are back to normal right now, and i dont expect further reductions soon.
Is it just me or Bitcoin price raised from £2900 to £6900 within last 5 weeks?
Thanks op

We would normally see NVidia release a new series of cards each year. The current 10x0 series came out in 2016. Yes this 1070Ti version only came out in 2017, but that is only a variation on a model. All the talk has shifted now to what the next series will be and which tech conference they will use for the reveal. When they do it, past form suggests those new cards will be available about a month later, so retail are keen to shift any old stock before that happens. Recent weeks have seen steady reductions across the range - could be falling crypto, could be new cards, could be a bit of both.

just you
Even if you wait for new cards the rrp will be higher and the relative performance increase won't necessarily be anything to write home about.
