This is quite possibly the fastest GTX 780 you can buy. Yet strangely it's also the lowest priced GTX 780 out there! Amazing high specs (crazy boost clock speeds) and great reviews. Even with the new GTX 780Ti's and Ghz editions coming out, this is still a very powerful card and I doubt it will drop much lower in price. Comes with a 5 year warranty.

Core Clock: 1006 MHz
Boost Clock: 1163 MHz
Shader Clock: N/A
Memory: 3GB
Memory Bit Rate: 384 Bit
Memory Type: GDDR5
Memory Clock: 6208 MHz
Cooling: Tri Fan

Not only that but it comes with 3 games - Batman: Arkham Origins, Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell Blacklist & Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag which you can easily sell on ebay for £20 each, making this card less than £300.

Preorder at the mo with stock due on the 10th Nov.

EDIT:

This should be v2 of the card (with revised firmware 80.10.3A.00.59), which gives the insane boost speeds. This revised version is being reviewed as THE FASTEST GTX 780 YOU CAN BUY hexus.net/tec…ed/

If for some reason you buy this and you find the bios is the older version (80.10.3A.00.33) you can download the latest version from here uploaded.net/fil…roa or simply contact Zotac support.

EDIT 2:

Free Games. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that you will receive 2 coupon codes by email which you then have to verify through the Nvidia website.

Assassins Creed 4 and Splinter Cell here...... geforce.co.uk/thr…ode

Batman here....... geforce.co.uk/gam…ons

You will then be given Steam (Batman) and Uplay (Assassins Creed 4/Splinter Cell) codes for the games to do as you please (ie, keep or sell on ebay)

EDIT 3:

Well seems this offer was too good to be true after all. Scan are sending out emails asking for an extra £21.67 (£378 total) as they undersold the card. Originally there were only 10 cards in stock to be sold at the special price and these sold before I'd even found the deal. Scan are now offering to sell these cards at list price with free delivery. It's still technically a good deal, just not as good as we were promised!

EDIT 4: Stock now due on Monday 18th (maybe)

It is because it is a zotac.. GPUs are like jeans the same pair has various prices depending on the brand

Amazing price for a GHZ edition 780 with 3 free games! These aren't going to go below this price so this is the best time to pick up a GTX 780. I wish I waited a bit as I got my 7970 Matrix Platinum for £225 but I could have got this and sold each game for roughly £20 to enjoy NVIDIA's great SLI support.

True but branding isn't so important when it's hidden inside a PC case. It's the specs and reviews that count the most. From what I've read this is a very decent card at a very good price.

Why dont people like zotac , from reviews it looks like a very good card plus its very cheap is well

I agree... Never meant it was a bad card, simply put people have brand snobbery

Yeah I'm in 2 minds whether or not to cancel my pre order of a Inno3D GeForce GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra for £399.95. This card has nearly identical specs and although doesn't perform as well as the Inno3D in benchmarks (not by much), the £50 difference is very tempting.

Very true. I'd certainly prefer an Asus or Gigabyte over a Zotac, but the price is so damn tempting for the specs.

Asus and EVGA have the best support, after that its the best of the rest. Decent price for a decent card.

you can't go wrong but I'd say cancel your current order and order this one. £50 is quite a lot.

Looking at the reviews again, this card now has improved firmware making it BETTER than the Inno3D and is now the fastest GTX 780 out of the box!!! I've cancelled my preorder and bought this one instead.

Nice one! Do you mind me asking what the rest of your build consists of?

I currently have an Intel i7 2600K overclocked to 4.8ghz, Asus P8P67 deluxe mobo, running 2 GTX 580's in SLI (until I get this 780) and I have 16GB of 1600 RAM. Really it's only the 580's that are letting me down.

Nice, I have an FX 8320 @stock with an Asus M5A97 EVO mobo with a Asus 7970 matrix platinum. I used to have a 7770 GHZ edition because I was on a £500 budget for my first build but I got some money together and the 7970 was going for £225 which is unbelievable value but I didn't see such cheap 780's coming. Now I'm trying to sell my 7770 in order to get an SSD and a new cooler so I can hopefully start overclocking.

Zotac are quality if people are sitting on the fence. I'd go back after my previous two experiences and would actually be my first choice. This is very temping.

does this have the 5 year warranty that zotac usually offer?

wonder if its so good its not getting heat.......

That's a nice card!
I tried to buy a Zotac GTX 680, but gave up and bought an EVGA due to supply issues at the time

Radeon's R290 (non x) will be out in a week, will be a similar price, and leaked benches were very good. I'm personally waiting until then to buy a new card anyway (my 460 is creaking a bit in new games).

must admit.. you have found a DEAL

Zotac is a great company make great reliable cards..

alll Zotac cards come with 5 year warranty if registered with Zotac within the first 14 days

agreed with above wait on the 290 ati card.... it should force nvidia and even ati should hopefully further drop prices.

ATI delivered a much needed price drop on the 780, 290 should contend with it and be hopefully a little cheaper.

Really both cards should be 299.99 !

if this is boosting at 1163!!! omg this is faster than a classified at them speeds ..

This is a fantastic deal. The fastest GTX 780 card on the market, for a price that beats everyone else. Free delivery too, when you're registered with avforums. I bought one, many thanks op!

can you also update you get a Splinter Cell Compilation of games bundled from Zotac which will be in the box

"Must say some great overclocking, an OC 290 gets you 290x stock performance ( even better performance? ) if AMD sell it cheap this will be one hell of price/performance card.

Now I wish I had my 290x that I really paid for so I could check out the real difference.."

ATI 290 card due next week may just beat the 780 and match or be cheaper then this....

the 290 card is not even announced but a supplier sent it out by accident And the guy was a member of a website called overclockers so ran overclocking benchmarks lol

Am sure AMD are happy lol

Absolute bargain, voted HOT.

Ordered 2 actually it's that good. With free delivery works out at £351 per card. Get those game codes sold and we're talking under £570-£585 for SLI GTX 780s

Trouble is for people using 30 inch 2560x1600 monitors a 290/X/780 is too slow to run new games maxed out at good frame rates (except a few like Skyrim).

So SLI/Crossfire is ideal at these prices...

Which brings us to the problem of Crossfire, it's been improved but it's still Microstutter 'R Us.

im just worried we might even see more of a drop close to the 780ti and 290 release...

Not a chance in hell the 290 will be going for £299.99/£300

£350 absolute minimum and the 290X will go up in price to create a nice false market gap.....guaranteed.

It's all going to be tears and regrets in a week or so when the people holding out realize they should have coughed up and bought a ticket.

It's always a possibility...But personally believe that it's much more likely things are going to work in the reverse.
ATI / nvidia hate being competition to each other, this massive price drop from nvidia is a rare sight that hasn't happened for years. Usually they just slot in to each others pricing model.

By taking things too far, it's only going to end in both companies losing out, neither want that.

The 290 releasing at £300+/- a few quid will mean the 780 has to get reduced again, there will be no gap between it and the 780Ti/Titan pricing, except the 290X which will be in a very lucrative position on it's own...which nvidia obviously won't allow to happen and thus would have to reduce the 780Ti to 290X pricing or just above....not going to happen, too much money lost, and AMD would also lose out...

Basically, however you follow the path of least resistance in terms of guessing the most likely prices based on a £300 release for the 290...it leads to haywire and 2 companies with good products losing lots of money by being too competitive. It's a 2 horse race...

...I'll eat my hat if things don't look anything other than awful in terms of pricing compared to how they are now.

(I'm usually wrong though... :p) really not sure how all this will turn out, but at the end of the day, it's either going to save people another £25-£30 on this price - or lose them £50, not worth the gamble.
Edited by: "robo989" 3rd Nov 2013

i personally think we maybe see prices average at £350 with as low as 330 for a 780.. I also think the 780ti will be around the £550 mark to slot back into the 780 position it used to be to go against the 290x while the 780 goes at the 290

but who knows.. all I know is this is a stonking price.

very tempted to order this, been so long since i got my 570

thanks OP

I had a pair of Zotac 8800's many years ago.

They were some of the better cards I have owned and I have owned just about any old brand you can name, from EVGA to Sapphire, from Gigabyte to Asus.

Even back then Zotac usually offered better clocks on their cards for less money than everyone else, despite using the same coolers or modified coolers. Which was why I bought their AMP! 8800s over some of the other brands.

Good stuff.

It says prE order?

I have an i5 2500k (still running at stock), 8gb RAM, with a GTX 570. Very tempting to sell off the 570 and get this. Reckon the (now old) i5 is still capable of taking advantage of this baby? I've been out of the loop with cpu changes since I got this Sandybridge setup, so not really too sure how much an advantage was brought with Ivy Bridge and whatever has come on since then

I have two GeForce 570, what would they sell for if I upgrade to this?

sell the 570s people.. while you can grab one of these, overclock it and be on your way

btw i5 2500k should be all good.. just remember to enable pcie 3.0 when using this card to get full advantage

Oh how tempting it is to buy a couple of these and start building a new rig.

It's a gamble, but I think you're probably right. The 780Ti will be seen as the new 'flagship' card and will certainly be more than £500. There's the potential that the 780's will reduce even more in price to compete with ATI, especially the lower spec/budget cards which may hit the £300 mark. A top spec 780 like this one though, I doubt if it will drop lower than what it is now. At least for a while.
