Seems like a good deal - a 2070 for less than a 2060S? Seller is Ebuyer - same card on their website is £360 and around £370-400 elsewhere.

Hardly! And where is it cheaper than this?

Yes it is. Fully agree

Hate radeons user interface, heat and noise, shame i don't get on with their cards, but team red are by far the better due to price imo.
Went for the 2060 zotac for £250, decent price similar performance to gtx 1070ti/1080. Gtx 1660ti costs around the same is it

A couple of comments have mentioned the 5700XT to be better but the link here appears to show the 2070 to be marginally more powerful across a range of tests. Genuine question as I have no loyalty either way and I'm dithering over what to get for my son's Christmas present.

Cheaper, not sure on better..

The reference blower cards are similar pricing, but they are blower cards, the twin/triple fans are more expensive and there are still so many reviews complaining of heat, instability and driver issues depending on which cards you have.. I think they will be better in the future but practically speaking they are not there yet unfortunately..

I've had problems with heat and reliability with the 5700xt.

We went with the 2070 super in the end. Yes it was more expensive, but have not had a blip since.

My point is: why spend significant money for heat issues, reliability issues etc (of which concern and fettling may be required), when it should just work?

User benchmark is very inconsistent unfortunately.

I'm team green, but the 5700xt is better than the 270, check out 5700xt reviews over on guru3d.com

Just search 5700 xt on hukd there two going for less than £310

The powercolor one is the cheaper and will run cooler

Also...Don't forget to measure to make sure it fits. You may find this zotac mini card is the one you need

You are correct they are the same performance in most games. I've owned both Nvidia and AMD cards and always buy for value. You will likely get better value out of the Nvidia card at this price point. I bought the 1070 zotac mini very cheap last year similar to this. Downside to zotac cards is that they have small coolers and therefore get hotter which means less performance but probably not as hot as 5700xt reference cards.

Bottom line, if you buy this, you'll be getting a perfectly reasonable deal.

Components come right down in price normally 2 weeks before Christmas yo boost sales. Plus we are days away from brand new cards coming out, may cause further price drops.
I've gone for this. Seems to be the best price v performance at the moment. Thanks for the comments folks.

Zotac are telling you that one of their major resellers are trapping (I.e. conning) their customers? Really? I'm sure Ebuyer would like to know about that! Mind you, if it does turn out to be true I'll just return it under dsr.

I have a MSI reference 5700xt since launch and it hasn’t skipped a beat.

Runs relatively cool and is much quieter than my PS4 Pro too so the fan noise doesn’t bother me. Especially as I use headphones for most of my PC gaming.

It’s leaps and bounds quicker than my old gtx 1070, the software is shockingly basic compared to nvidia though. The only reason I went with this over nvidia this gen was cost, it was performance on the cheap at launch compared to nvidia but their prices are creeping down slowly.

Sorry to hear it didn’t work out with your 5700xt. Glad you’re happy with your 2070S though, an absolute beast of a card - that’s where I would have gone if things didn’t pan out the way they have with my 5700xt.

I would go for the nvidia personally. While I have and enjoy my 5700xt, If paying a little more isn’t an issue go for the 2070s as the performance is similar but the reliability is with nvidia.

Plus, Quake II RTX for us boomers.
Good price for this card. Bought it earlier for a mate doing a Da Vinci Resolve (video editing) build as this is better for that. But as others have said a 5700XT would be my choice for gaming alone. Radeon image sharpening for 4k at 0.68-0.8 scale is immense.

I absolutely loathe AMD's drivers, I'm not exactly thrilled with Nvidia's pricing structure of late but I'll pay a premium to not have to deal with the minefield that is AMD's shoddy driver support.

Thank you.

Probably the most considerate discussion about the subject, I've had. Appreciated.

I'm glad it's worked for you. It's just not for me.

I'm actually a lot shook by this. Are the products not listed as new? I'd they are listed new, I'd buy from eBay and if they come open box then ask for a new one

They are indeed and no problem. What a time to be alive hey- looking back at my old Orchid Righteous 3DFX card and comparing it to where we are now. Night and day!

I’m hoping to see further improvements with this 5700xt as the drivers improve. I’m doing a clean install for every update to avoid conflicts but as I mentioned earlier - so far so good

Nintendo/Sega, Blur/Oasis, Sony/Microsoft, Apple/Android, COD/Battlefield... AMD/Intel, Radeon/GeForce... people always find something silly to argue over lol.

The 2070 for my boy just works - I'm happy coz I don't need to do anything more.

Enjoy your evening

5700 xt is in between the 2070 and 2070 super on performance but closer to 2070 super. And they trade blows depending on the game. I wouldn’t recommend a blower style 5700 xt as they tend to run hot and noisy out the box and when normalising the fan to 40db can thermal throttle. Would recommend the powercolor red dragon rx 5700 xt, been looking at that myself as reviewers have said it’s the best of the version. It’s £50 more ebuyer/eBay, but has good thermal performance. May be a cheaper dual fan gpu that would perform similarly for a little bit less if on a budget. Recommend Hardware Unboxed on YouTube for good reviews. They do a price to performance comparison between these gpus too

I suppose so...but the idea is to vote on the value of the deal, not whether a different product is better/cheaper.
